  The staff warmly greats you and sets the tone for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our room was clean with a microwave and frig. I absolutely love the duvet covers on the beds. Take the time to book a Spa treatment, you will be very pleased. The hotel restaurant and bar has a nice wine list and great seafood.

  Our rooms were immaculate and cleaned each day with fresh linens and toiletries.

  Imagine the relief to just put him to bed after a day of traveling and not need to wait for the delivery or set up of the crib. We asked at the front desk if there was a wheel chair available for our 90 year old mother. The answer was "yes" and we were able to transport her easily around this accessible hotel in the wheel chair, which also looked to be very new. From the in room coffee, microwave, and refrigerator to the Bistro 1111, all amenities were first class.

  We booked the room at the website rate, but the room was three blocks behind the hotel. It was like an old renovated run-down apartment building that they bought and thought they could stick the internet-deal people. Mold in the bathroom, a bed obviously 20 years old with only springs left. The view from the room was into someone's backyard and their broken fence. We lost our rental car key, and there were staff steam cleaning the carpets at about the same time. I asked the manager if anyone turned in the key, or if any staff around our room saw it. She said she would call the maintenance manager to see if anyone turned in the key and promised a callback that night. I was hung up on when I called to check on it, and when I went to the front desk they were ruder than they could be. Filthy; horrible service; anything over than free is too expensive.

  I booked a two-queen bed ocean-view room for my husband and I for our anniversary and were very impressed. We had room service for breakfast and it was fast and wonderful - waffles and eggs benedict were great. We checked in late and our room was on the third floor next to the elevator which worried me but the room was quiet. Other people's negatives - why is it housekeeping's fault if you lost your rental car key? It did look like an old apartment building with no security.

  Noticed the confirmation was only for one and emailed the hotel to clarify getting no reply. Arrived at the hotel after a long journey down the coast to be told they had no room but would put us up in another block they owned some three blocks inland from the hotel at no charge. After further argument and asking to speak to the manager (who at 4pm on a Friday with clear booking problems had left the hotel! In the event after further argument the room was in fact comped as had been the offer on the opther two alternatives. Room satisfactory but certainly no more and not up to the amount being charged for them.

  Had two rooms, Oceanview and standard room. Rooms were clean and about average in size. The view of the ocean was spectacular and the location of the hotel was great for taking the trolley and a short drive to downtown area.

  We had some problems when we checked out because I had collected everyones money for the hotel rooms and paid cash when we checked in instead of putting it on my credit card.

  When we returned from the wedding our room hadn't been cleaned.

  First they didn't have the room I requested,but it wouldn't have mattered because all the rooms have one sink. The front desk manager told us the housekeeping leaves at 5. I guess you are out of luck if they don't get to your room.

  We checked in to a standard King room with a garden view, and the room wasnt really that nice. The location is great, a 2 minute walk from the Ocean and very close to both downtown Montecito and downtown Santa Barbara. The spa was very small and the services were only adequate.

  Now I need toi preface this by admitting that it was Labor Day Weekend in Santa Barbara, so the prices reflected how busy the SB hotels are that weekend. The pool area was nice, although could get crowded if a lot of people came at the same time.

  We had to call the front desk to ask for clean towels and to empty our trash.

  My husband and I stayed in a deluxe dbl queen suite for 4 days with our 3 year old and 10 year old. During our 4 day stay, housekeeping only visited our room once! Our room was sweaty and dingy inside and our "air conditioner" felt like a wet moppy fan and was very loud. There were bugs in the bathroom, our carpet and curtains were stained, our desk chair was broken, our entry light was burned out. Both our patio door and screen did not lock properly and there was only one outlet in the entire room behind the dresser (which was not even NEAR the desk for our laptop)! Our bed linens were supposed to be white, but instead were an old dirty white and the beds were COMPLETELY uncomfortable! We mainly chose this hotel because of the air conditioning since many of the nicer but older hotels do not have it.

  Upon arrival we did not get the ocean view room with a king size bed but we got a queen sized bed in a room overlooking the parking lot. We also booked a dog friendly room for our relatives and upon arrival there were no dog friendly rooms available.

  We booked 2 nights in an ocean view room for our wedding. They were completely unapologetic and did not give us our room.
