Hotel Lucerna Tijuana - 提华纳

The hotel is located outside of the heavily touristed area in the more financial/new commercial part of town, so a car or taxis are needed if your taste runs to Zebra-striped painted burro attractions.

My room had a kingsize bed, but the bed looked small as the room was quite large.

My room had a nice easy chair to relax in with an footstool, a writing desk/table, even a small basket of fresh fruit and chocolates on my bed at night with the sheets turned down.

The room service was first class and the beds were comfortable slept like a king.

Bed, unusual for Mexico, was comfortable and firm.

Once we made it into our room, we found it quite secure (all doors,sliders, windows locked), very clean, and up to date.

Room was neat and clean, the breakfast buffet at the restaurant was delicious.

In addition the staff is superb, the bar is nice and food is excellent.

The pool area is just gorgeous, the food in the restaurants was wonderful and very inexpensive, and the rooms were fairly large - all with balconies.

The hotel is in one of the best neighborhoods in Tijuana, very nice staff except from the front desk.

The front desk staff were courteous, along with the bellman (Alonso) who attended to our every need, and gave us safety-tips (when travelling during the day) and (helped us to a taxi).

The pool area is just gorgeous, made me feel welcome and the lobby is very spacious.

Each room has a nice little balcony that either looks out over the pool area or the front garden entrance of the hotel.

You pull up to a lovely fountain out front, marbled lobby and a whole flock of bellmen opening your doors and retrieving your luggage.

The hotel was extremely clean and unlike most hotels in Mexico, the rooms were carpeted and not tiled.

The neighborhood was very nice,,,Plaza Rio Mall was within walking distance,,,many resterants close by,, rooms were very clean,,,,I definately will be going back there!

After this, the first of many let downs, our room was finally ready and just as is in the past, it is clean and comfortable no frills.
