Hotel Lombardy Washington - 华盛顿哥伦比亚

Very good located, beautiful decor and great location - walking distance to White House.

We like the location, only several blocks to Potomac Park and the west end of the Mall where the impressive memorials are located (except for the hideous WWII memorial).

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was great.

Metro 200 meters away, easy distance from Subway and medium sized hotel that once was apartment house.

We took the metro from the airport and it was an easy 2 block walk to the hotel.

Our room was so comfortable and clean, the beds heavenly after a six night NY stay on a lumpy bed.

I booked a single room and got a king-sized bet with three sets of pillows (yes, the bed was big enough to comfortably sleep 3 people) and a huge bathroom.

Bed linens were ultra comfortable, bathroom very clean as in super clean shower curtains (absolute white), tub, floor, sinks, and spiffy fixtures.

I was only in the hotel from 9 pm to 7:30 am - so all I needed was a comfortable bed, cool room, clean well-maintained bathroom and an alarm clock!

My suite had a well-appointed bedroom and living room, hardwood floors, and a certain echo to it that modern, super-insulated hotel rooms don't have.

The next morning, he was treated very courtously while eating breakfast alone in the restaurant.

The bar and restaurant were good as far as hotel offerings go, but better food can be had at Washington institution Kinkead's (right across the street) or at a number of other eateries within walking distance or, at worst, a short cab ride.

The bar was lovely to relax in the evening, the cafe had a good breakfast selection.

We had breakfast twice in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, though (as elsewhere in the US) there was a woeful lack of understanding of how to make a cup of tea.

For breakfast or lunch, Bread Line was a great spot on Pennsylvania Ave just five min towards the White House (across from World Bank Shop).

The lift was very small, and often crowded, so we usually bypassed it and used the stairs.

The Lombardy is convenient for many business purposes and feels secure, with an elevator operator always on duty.

Everything was spotless, the linens were luxurious, there was WIRED Internet access (did that other reviewer ever hear of that?

We really appreciated the complimentary high speed internet.

My room had no view, but was clean and spacious.

Bathroom scrupulously clean and lovely bar.

The bathroom was clean, but the shower was a bit spare.

The bathroom is small but it was very clean.

And I have never seen a hotel bathroom so clean!
