Hotel Lido Estoril

Pleasant stay in quiet location, the staff was friendly and helpful, my room was very comfortable.

Limited off-street parking available, nice location and particularly well furnished of amenities for a 3-star hotel.

Good position in quite location, lovely beach and within easy walking distance.

The train station is across from the Casino, you can access it through the underground walkway that takes you to Tamariz Beach.

The pavements were in a poor condition with many pot holes and fouled by the many guard dogs in the area( Not the Hotels fault) Unless you used taxis or had a hire car, this was not a hotel for the unfit or infirm.

To our disappointment we could not use the bath tub as the stopper was too small so water was constantly licking away.

The bathroom needs a makeover, although we've seen the room attendant thoroughly clean the bathroom.

When asked for a right sized stopper or alternatively have a room change, I was told they do not have another stopper, and all rooms have the same problem!

Breakfast in the room can be ordered for as late as 10am.

Spacious rooms and the continental breakfast consists of cereal.

There is no way this should be a 3 star hotel unless they reinstate a Bar and the Restaurant.

The only accessible way to access satellite TV is to watch in the bar/lounge on the first floor.

The lounge bar was small and stuffy and closed when the pool bar was open during the afternoons.

No evening meals were available unless you were on a short stay package (that was served in the breakfast room).

The location was OK if you are fit and can smuggle in something to eat and drink BUT there are no other restaurants or bars within easy walking distance.

Residential area close to the sea, really nice hotel for may be not too long staying and reception staff are efficient and helpful.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff people were very nice and professional.

Hotel situated in residential area and all staff were pleasant.

The pool area catered for about a quarter of the guests.

The pool is also located on the first floor.

However, the hotel book states in fine print "if you cannot access wireless internet/modem, alternatively you can use their computers.

As previous reviews, this hotel is indeed very basic and thankfully our room (5th floor) relatively clean.
