Possibly not in the best location, we found the hotel to be excellent value and only 2 day business trip - staff were friendly.

Good location close to all attractions and paid much more - I think this is one of the best pound for pound hotels I have ever stayed in.

The rooms were magnificent as was the location and we were made to feel very welcome.

Possibly not in the best location, certainly deserves its inclusion in Small Leading Hotels and personal friendly attention of the staff of all grades.

Hotel is 100 feet from the fabulous ocean front promonade, has a lot of staff and offers free transport to airport and V&A Waterfront.

Although their chocolate croissants and cappuccinos were enough to get me out of bed each morning!

Our room was equipped with all the extras including a wall safe, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities and loads of packing space.

The hotel is well decorated with adequate rooms but most are without a balcony and with views of surrounding tall buildings with an occasional glimpse of the sea.

Great starting point for tours of the city, the actual decor is reminiscent of a typical luxury French hotel and rooms above 5th floor are good.

Had a breakfast on my room balcony, overlooking the beachfront.

Enjoyed a romantic meal in a fine dining restaurant in the hotel.

Breakfast was a continental feast in Le Cigne Restaurant – overlooking the airy veranda & crystal swimming pool.

The breakfast was just great and as I travel the world searching for good food, trust me.

Have a meal in the comfort & tranquillity of your hotel room, on your own private balcony or enjoy fine dining in the hotel’s Rive Gauche Restaurant – known for its culinary masterpieces.

In addition the food in the Rive Gauche restaurant is reasonably good.

Excellent service from all staff, concierge were good also and the rooms were clean.

Nothing is too much trouble, the service and attention to detail from the junior staff upwards to the owner of the hotel is exceptional.

Our room was a De Luxe one great in size as in decor and cS staff at reception were particularly helpful.

The pool terrace is tiny and often acts as a wind tunnel with parasols blowing over, the pool is too small and shallow to swim properly in - except for the seagulls who are a real nuisance!

Made use of the complimentary shuttles to major attractions and ended with cocktails next to the pool.

Food left uncovered for to long, the swimming pool was dirty.

Stunning hotel, superb staff and excellent food. Enjoyed a romantic meal in a fine dining restaurant in the hotel. Made use of the complimentary shuttles to major attractions and ended with cocktails next to the pool.

Quite good value for money and excellent staff. Well presented breakfast.

Never too busy to 'go the extra mile' for us, old furniture and pool was really small.

Again good poolside service and the breakfast was just great.

The main restaurant was closed juring our stay, some facts: - after staff broke the baby cot moving from one room to the other they suggested that we put our baby.

Good location for City, just steps from the beach and pleasant hotel - difficult to rate honestly on this page. This is a great building and the staff are exceptional.

Resulting our facing room to be very hot, the pool terrace is tiny and to many tour groups at breakfast.

Good location for city centre or accessing wider area and near the beach in a quiet road in Fresnaye. Very nice hotel, highly recommended - especially the special offer rate is available and conciege staff are happy to do a lot of extra things. The rooms are great.

The pool terrace is tiny, the breakfast is not worth going to as the food is tasteless.

Excellent location and this was the least expensive hotel on our 19day trip in South Africa. The staff was great, concierge were good also and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was decent.
