The guest rooms at Hotel Le Lichen De La Mer have large windows, which let in plenty of natural light and offer a lovely view of the surroundings. As a budget traveller, I loved waking up to the sight of the beach just outside my window.
Personally, the only thing I liked less about my stay at Hotel Le Lichen De La Mer was that the triple room didn't have a bathtub. Although the shower was perfectly fine, I do enjoy taking a relaxing bath occasionally.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled on the edge of the sea. The location is absolutely stunning, with paths along the cliffs and breathtaking views. The rooms may be small, but they are meticulously maintained and incredibly comfortable. What I loved most was the private terrace attached to the room, providing a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. Moreover, the staff at this hotel are friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable stay. The breakfast, served with a picturesque view, is the perfect way to start your day.
Privacy and security could be improved, but overall everything was great.

The hotel is virtually on the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would certainly return to Le Lichen.

The hotel is very beautifully situated with a magnificent view of the sea. I enjoyed this view tremendously. The staff went out of their way to help me with what I needed. They arranged transportation for me to get to and from the train station, to get to the pharmacy and helped me with renting a bike. The private terrace from my room was fantastic. There are many sites which are perfect to get to by bicycle. The town of Batz sur Mer, Le pouliguen and Le croisic for example. Along the coast there is a very nice track to walk on and admire the view and the architecture of the summer houses. The beaches near by are also nice. Not over crowded. This is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday of zen! I loved it.
As a solo traveller I found it to be a little unpractical that the hotel did not serve dinner. I usually like ordering dinner to my room when I am travelling alone.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is impressive, especially in the well-fitted and reasonably sized bathroom/WC. I also loved the rooms with their adjoining terrace, providing a beautiful view of the surroundings. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast served with a stunning view, making mornings even more enjoyable.
No complaints here, everything was just fine.

The location next to the sea.
The smell in our room was a bit mouldy, the basement stair and the air-ventilation did not work -which is a pity.

This hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning location right on the shore. The hotel is just a short walk down to the beach, allowing us to easily enjoy the beautiful coastline. Our room was spacious and stylish, complete with a large private terrace that offered a breathtaking view. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of comfort and relaxation. And let's not forget about the breakfast! Served in a lovely room with a panoramic view of the sea, it was a delightful start to the day.
All was perfect!

Location was fabulous, right on a lovely beach with a marvellous long sea-side trail that my husband ran.

The hotel was easy to find with good local signage. We had a room with a balcony facing the sea. The view was fantastic!
It would be nice to have tea making facilities, but this is quite an English thing for a French hotel!

We had an amazing family vacation at this beautiful B&B. The hotel location was so convenient, just a few steps away from the sandy beach where we spent hours playing with our kids. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful, with direct access to the coastal path. Our room was spacious, with big comfortable beds and a bathroom that was sparkling clean. The staff was incredibly hospitable and informative about the local area, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We also enjoyed the stunning sea views from the breakfast room.
The room lacked a kettle for tea and coffee making.

We stayed for just one night. Since the hotel was not full at the time, the hotel staff were very kind and offered us a room with sea view though we had booked the cheapest one. The room was very nice and large; en-suite was good; the hotel is very beautiful and very well located, near the beach. Along the coast (and just in front of the hotel) there are many foot paths with gorgeous views; near the hotel a massive WWII bunker can be found (the Blockhaus), which is now a museum.
I could find no way to turn off the auto-fan in the en-suite, which made a very annoying sound (specially if one entered the bathroom during night)

As a budget traveller who values natural light and beautiful scenery, this feature was a big plus for me.
While the room had a balcony, I personally didn't spend much time there. The view was not as captivating as I had hoped, but I understand that others might still enjoy it for a breath of fresh air.
