Las Américas Casa de Playa hotel offers 250 rooms overlooking the Colombian Caribbean Sea and the hotel gardens. Las Américas Torre del Mar hotel houses 280 rooms that overlook the Caribbean Sea. The resort offers superior rooms, junior suites, executive rooms and presidential suites. Rooms feature a breakfast table and chairs on the balcony, closet with in-room safe, mini-bar, 37” TV, bedroom with a king-size bed or two double beds, restroom with shower stall and bathtub.

The resort offers eight restaurants and seven bars. For instance, Meson de Don Cristobal lies on the main terrace of the first floor in Las Américas Casa de Playa hotel. It serves international cuisine. Fogon del Navegante is located among the gardens of Las Américas Casa de Playa hotel, and serves grilled delights seafood. Torre del mar cafeteria lies on the second floor of Las Américas Torre del Mar hotel. It has an outdoor terrace and wood pizza oven.

Las Américas Torre del Mar hotel’s business center offers two conference rooms. The Centro Internacional de Convenciones y Exposiciones houses a 4,200sqm of space able to accommodate 2,000 guests. There are numerous beautiful spots worth seeing. The Downtown area of Cartagena has a well-preserved colonial style architecture. Plaza de los Coches (Square of the Carriages) and Plaza de la Aduana (Customs Square) serves as a starting point to San Pedro church and the Museum of Modern Art. Plaza de Bolívar (Bolívar's Square) houses a small park with a statue of Simón Bolívar. It is surrounded by colonial buildings. There is an Office of historical archives in close proximity. It gives an insight into the city’s history. Cathedral of Cartagena located nearby dates back to the 16th century.

Getting there.

Cartagena is well connected to the northern part of the Caribbean Region through roads 90 and 90A via Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Riohacha, Paraguachon, Venezuela and Caracas. Road 25 connects the city to the southeast, namely Turbaco, Arjona, Montes de María and Madellin.

Getting around.

The easy way to explore the old town in by walking. To get to some distant spots, one can use busses running all over the city. Taxis are numerous, however they can be rarely hailed in the center. One needs to walk away from downtown, toward the wider road close to wall.

  The beach is nice, secure and peaceful, the City – is beautiful and colorful. This hotel is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and comfortable. A restaurant that is more modern.

  Nice beach and great City. The best hotel in Cartagena, super service and the pools and water slide were clean. The breakfasts were very good, gardens were gorgeous.

  The beach is terrific, the food was great and plentiful, staff free shuttle to walled city. Cartagena is very beautiful and at reception everyone is equally helpful. Water is very, very warm and breakfast is really good.

  Overall good hotel and most wonderful service. The bathrooms are clean and secure and some of the best food I have ever eaten. The pools are nice big.

  The hotel was very modern and upscale, and we enjoyed everything about, all staff members were very helpful, the room was just OK, the bathroom a little rusty, no luxuries. The buffet was good.

  Great service and also hot water. Food – amazing, a lovely quiet pool for lounging.

  The old city reminds me of a combination of quebec city, hotel Las AMericas was a very bad experience for us.

  Incredible humidity in the rooms, great Food.

  This hotel is not worth at all, the mini bar is not part of the all inclusive and you will be charged for anything you take.
