Good value for money hotel and excellent service.
Having pre-booked 5 nights at the Taburiente in Santa Cruz, [ a smart, quiet, good value for money hotel with roof pool] we hoped to find something similar on speck in northwest Tenerife.
Don't let the negative reviews put you off, this hotel is a gem and really offers value for money!
Great location next to church square and this is a charming hotel.
The location superb, a central fountain and hotel itself is of historic interest.
Excellent location in historic centre of an interesting little town and the hotel are quiet.
I thought the room was very average with no bath and a very bad shower but the worst thing was that the window was only covered by a (very attractive) hessian curtain that let in the light.
Our room was very small but we were relocated to a bigger room at the front of the hotel as soon as rooms became available.
The hotel was full so they were not able to change the room - other rooms might have given a much better experience.
Gorgeous hotel in a lovely quiet village, staff was excellent and bottled water provided free in the room.
For extra insulation from outside noise, ask for a room with glass windows rather than with just the beautiful, though impractical, Canarian wooden shutter windows.
But there are a couple of very good restaurants including one of the best pizzerias in Tenerife (apparently), and the bar on the square is a great place to people-watch.
All staff very friendly and helpful, great breakfasts.
Garachico is quiet and there aren't loads of restaurants and bars.
Our only gripe is that we thought the hotel had a restaurant and it doesn't.

Luckily the oceans waves were calm enough on our first morning to try out the local lava bathing pools - the municipal swimming pool was under construction.
Plenty of tranquil sitting areas in lounges and inner patio garden with tinkling fountain.
Rooms are clean and spotless, the area well kept.
We wish we could have taken the room maids home with us to tidy up at home too.
