  There was plenty of security and an excellent service of dedicated taxis available at all times, which will wait for you at your destination for a pittance by European standards. The great delight was the quality of service. Staff managed the rare combination of great efficiency and genuine warmth. Despite the size of the hotel, our faces and preferences (for example at the excellent breakfast buffet and in the bar) were remembered within a couple of days. On our return, we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost.

  The hotel is 6-storey redbrick arranged around paved internal courtyards (one with a little white chapel) which give a welcome feeling of tranquillity and quietness in a busy city (though outside rooms might be a bit noisy: ask for an internal room).
