This beautiful hotel is peaceful and quiet. It's a former townhouse and dates back to the 19th century. It's in walking distance to almost all the main attractions, the rooms are great, and the hospitality is top-notch.

Once being a shelter for monarchs, aristocrats and Nobel Prize winners, the hotel Helvetia & Bristol boasts unique location right in the heart of romantic Florence, opposite to Palazzo Strozzi and within walking distance to fashionable Via Dè Tornabuoni. Its 19th century architecture radiates charm, elegance and first-class comfort.

Decorated in opulent urban palace style, Helvetia & Bristol hotel features antique design adorned with 17th century paintings. At the same time, the mansion is a member of the Leading Small Hotels of the World, which means that it offers all modern conveniences and amenities to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. Getting there

Amerigo Vespucci Airport is 30min ride by bus from the hotel. The Volainbus airport shuttle and the bus ATAF n° 62 connect Florence town centre with Amerigo Vespucci airport. Terravision Low Cost Express Coach leaves from the Airport to/from Florence Central Station and within 15 minutes you will be at the hotel. Otherwise the hotel is easy to reach by car: From the A1 motorway exit at Firenze Certosa and follow directions for Florence Centre (approx 7km). When you reach Piazzale di Porta Romana, go under the arch and travel along Via Romana and Via Maggio. Cross the River Arno by the Santa Trinità Bridge and continue along Via Tornabuoni to Piazzetta Antinori (newsagent on the left). At Piazzetta Antinori turn right, then right again in Via Vecchietti, then right again in Via Strozzi. The first road on the right is Via dei Pescioni, where you will find the Hotel Helvetia & Bristol.
