The complimentary Wi-Fi was a great perk, allowing us to stay connected during our stay. The ski storage was very convenient for our winter getaway, and the onsite shopping made it easy to pick up any last-minute items we needed. We were thrilled with the additional features at the hotel!

For dads, it would be great to have a designated play area for children.

I always stay here because they have fantastic service. They even returned my forgotten documents! The place has everything I need - Wi-Fi, luggage storage, 24-hour reception. There's a bar, restaurant, and even a spa! Perfect for New Year's!

Administration kind and friendly, took a responsibility to call and book behalf me a tour to Open mines museum. Cute place, lovely outside garden, romantic jacuzzi allowing privacy on the top floor.

This hotel in the historical center has a superb location, with all the sights within walking distance. The rooms are clean, large, and offer a beautiful view of the old town. The breakfast, with a stunning view, is included and surpasses expectations.

No major issues, just a hairdryer missing in the room.

Floor is covered with new carpet, but under it there is a holes, so it is quite unpleasant for walk.Also, small spa was closed ( explanation was that they had fire in it few day ago),

Outdated and stained room furniture, bad smell in lobby and restaurant, poor internet connection and unresponsive TV. Lugging luggage up to fourth-floor room was tough.

The value for money at the hotel was fantastic, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The location was excellent, within walking distance of all historic landmarks. The staff were incredibly flexible and helpful, even going the extra mile to send us a forgotten item.

One small improvement that could be made to breakfast would be to provide a wider variety of items.

It was located in the village center.

The room was at the 5th floor and the elevator only went to the 3rd floor. Although the hotel was nearly empty, we got a room at the highest floor. The room was very hot (no airco). The staf was not very advisable.

Hotel Grand Matej is a nice hotel in the quiet and very beautiful city Banská Stiavnica. It has a very good restaurant and kind, helpful staff and is situated close to the very center of the town.

I got a room on the top floor which means there is only a window in the roof, with limited view. Also there is no lift to the two top floors.

I really liked the location of the hotel.

I did not like hotel restaurant. The food was terrible and bit overpriced for the location. Also there was a terrible noise in our room coming from jaccuzi pool. And many other details like parking or informedness of staff have much space for improving.

The hotel is has an excellent location in the center of Banska Stiavnica. The rooms are nice and comfortable.
