Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart - 霍巴特

Beautiful view over waterfront and location is the best aspect re the hotel- close to Mures.

That coupled with the great waterfront views and central location make this hotel one to consider if you can be assured of staying in one of these updated rooms.

Brilliant location - a short walk to Salamanca Market and Marque IV for dinner that night.

The hotel was approximately a 20 minute ride from the airport on the Airporter shuttle bus ($12 one way/ $20 return).

This hotel really caters for conferences and tour buses.

The room included a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and a large comfortable bed.

We found the room a comfortable size with a king-size bed and good facilities.

The staff were excellent and bed was comfortable as well.

It was large, clean and perfectly reasonable, well serviced and the bed very comfortable.

The room decor could do with an update and the bathroom, although spotless, could do with a major update.

Room was very spacious, i had excellent service from the girl at the Atrium bar and the restaurant was great for breakfast.

The restaurant was great for breakfast and although we didn't dine here for dinner (hotel is surrounded by restaurants) it looked to be quite a nice menu.

The rooms are clean and well cared for, the lobby is gracious and uncluttered and the restaurant is adequate for lunch and dinner and excellent for breakfast.

We found the breakfast buffet (not included) to be excellent with a wide variety of menu options and on Sat evening we did the dinner buffet which included a seafood bar which included fresh oysters, prawns and crab legs.

It has a large conventional lobby area with a restaurant and café bar attached.

The reception staff were very friendly and the concierge went out of their way to help us make the most of our stay in Hobart, even suggesting cheaper alternatives to what we were looking to do which was appreciated.

Staff at reception are also friendly, happy to change us to a room and comprehensively varied full buffet breakfast.

The Lobby Bar offers all day service including fabulous afternoon teas, friendly staff and the room was large.

I found the reception staff to be pleasant, cheery & helpful.

The gym/indoor pool looked good-the pool in particular would be good with those travelling with children.

We liked the pool, and it is adjacent to a workable gym for those who like this sort of torture.

The indoor swimming pool and gym area is very boring and again needs a major overhaul and refurbishment to bring it up to a reasonable standard.

Contrary to other reviews we found the rooms to be fresh and clean and very comfortable.

In addition staff were friendly, the room was fine and clean, the breakfast was nice.

The room was clean and food & service was very good.

Rooms are not the newest but very clean and functional.

The room was above average in size, clean and well appointed and had a wonderful view of the harbour below.
