The food was excellent with a very good choice of menu. With the couple of faults with the room one was dealt with immediately and we were informed the shower hold needed a new part but we were offered another room but were happy to stay where we were.

The only complaint we had which was nothing to do with the hotel was the room next door seemed to be allocated to night owls ,the first night the noise didnot cease until 1.30 A,M. and the next night the talking did not stop until 2.15 A.M. Last two nights were very quiet-Luckily!!

Staff very friendly and helpful, hotel in nice quiet area, ample parking and free WiFi.

Bathroom felt a little cramped but modern and clean nonetheless

The ambience was excellent; the staff could not be more helpful and the breakfasts were very good.

The decor in the bedroom was a little dated but this did not detract from its charm.

      Nice bedroom but poor bathroom.

The hotel was clean and tidy and felt welcoming. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The bar/lounge and restaurant areas were very comfortable.

Our particular room was a very small double. The en-suite was particularly minute but just about adequate. It would have been nice to see a duvet with clean cover as opposed to the stained bedspread and blanket.

Not much, pretty poor generally but the public areas were slightly better. The manager Amy was very nice and did all she could to iron out our many problems with the place.

The toilet seat in our room was not attached properly and they did not replenish supplies, milk/soap/toilet roll etc

      The plumbing was rather noisy.

Lovely big double aspect room, well decorated with balcony, plenty of furniture/storage and huge bed. Downstairs decor excellent. Dining areas had lovely views and swimming pool area attractive. Lovely waitress at breakfast; all staff friendly and helpful.

Filthy carpet in bedroom. Bathroom floor felt like it was going to collapse and fittings very dated. Shower almost impossible to use, and could not be used for hair washing. Toiletries not replaced after first night - this always seems so petty. Fruit at breakfast had gone off - both oranges and grapefruit. Took 15 minutes for new bowls to be produced by which time cooked food had arrived. Portions tiny - really miserly although very tasty and fresh. Parking spaces very small.

Very limited parking. No lift. Our room was very small,in fact we have stayed in larger rooms in travelodge type accommodation. The so called balcony appeared to be an add-on when the hotel was refurbished. It probably measured no more than 4 feet in depth and was too cramped for two people, the table and 2 chairs took up most of the space. The so called sea view was an ambitious claim, subject to some exaggeration I felt. Some sound proofing was needed as every sound from adjoining rooms and from the passageway could easily be heard. The shower was pathetic with hardly any force from the shower head. The staff were not particularly friendly, disinterest was probably more appropriate.I Guess this is a problem with hotel chains, having stayed in many family run hotels where there seems to be a different attitude.Although we were staying on a b&b basis I did see the price of the breakfast menu which I thought was extortionate.Having stayed in many hotels abroad and had breakfast they put these breakfasts to shame.I Wonder what the visitors from abroad would have made of them.I Would never again pay this room price for very average accommodation. Sorry to be a winger, but I was sorry I booked 3 nights.Never again.

Bedding had brown stains on dread to think what they were - not changed.Tea pot had sticky stains on it - complained & changed.Milk jug had black fluff around top - changed. Cereal bowls were dirty - still had bits of cereal & empty sugar wraps stuck between bowls - taken awy & changed - second day exactly the same - all reported to Amy - Duty Manager. Stayed there 9 times in last 7 years and been satisfied - not now - this wii be the last time
