Hotel Gardenia Sorrento - 索伦托

The Gardenia is primely located on the main street of Sorrento, but is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main piazza that it is the perfect location.

Pool area is lovely and clean, the location of the hotel is not at all convenient to the beach or the town.

The people, location, cleanliness, food are top rated.

Tip - haggle for taxi to airport - he said it would be on the meter, then said he'd do it for 150 Euros, then we got him down to 100.

Transport from Naples airport to Sorrento and close proximity is easy and cheap on the bus/train.

Room was fine - probably one of the smallest rooms I've stayed in but beds were comfy, had safe in wardrobe, little LCD TV with Sky News, lovely bathroom with good sized shower, a/c also a bonus.

The toilets are set up so that they make a lot of noise when you flush them and our bed head was on the other side of the wall from our neighbour's bathroom.

It was spotlessly clean and it had a great bed which is a must for aging backs.

The only complaint I would have is it is the worst bed I slept in Italy between 4 cities!

All the rooms have been upgraded and airconditioning as standard and views of Vesuvious from the rear room balconies.

The staff kindly helped us with restaurant bookings for the evenings and it is worth noting that some restaurants will provide free transport to and from the hotel.

The beds were comfortable and had a small bar serving food.

Walk to Tasso was a little long but we had the greatest weather and enjoyed the walk especially since we ate well at all the good restaurants, Would recommend to people visiting Sorrento and would stay again.

5) Hotel does not serve lunch/dinner so you can choose restaurant.

He then took us to a restaurant in Ravello where we were treated like old friends and had a fantastic meal.

The Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, the maid service was the best we had in Italy.

Spectacular views from the balcony in our room, hotel Central and the reception desk staff were very helpful.

The staff at reception are friendly & very helpful and air conditioning efficient.

The location of this hotel was central to sights, front desk staff were very helpful arranging tours for us and also room was clean and bright.

The large pool with sun terrace is a definite plus.

They advertise A/C and a pool but neither were available.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it had a swimming pool but in the end, we only used it once, on a Sunday (when trying to do any of the main tourist-type excursions is simply a waste of time).

Well finished rooms and clean and friendly - beautiful breakfasts.

Friendly staff speak reasonably good English, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is was excellent.

Good clean hotel, helpful staff and the room was excellent a little small.

Also the rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast offering is excellent.

The staff at the desk were always very pleasant and helpful and our room (facing the side of the hotel) was extremely clean (I should add that it was maintained at this standard throughout our stay by the cleaners).
