Hotel Garden Sienna - 锡耶纳

The location of the hotel is great, with beautiful views overlooking Siena.

The location was perfect for us--not right in the city, but not very far out either, which was important as we did not have a car.

The location may not work for everyone, but we found it allowed for a lot of flexibility.

We got there from the train station via a very short taxi ride; we took the bus (which stopped right in front of the entrance out on the road) into town for dinner (tickets sold at the desk) and my husband walked to and from town the next day.

This hotel is slightly out of the way, but it is a cheap taxi ride away from the bus station and the piazza.

Room and bathroom fine, but being a converted villa, the sound of the plumbing from other nearby rooms was noticed!

The beds and bathroom were clean but the overall look of the room was certainly not four star!

We told the reception staff the room was not acceptable and they gave us another in one of the other dormitory annexes, this one was again okay, beds and bathroom clean but the shower head in the bathroom was crusted with dirty looking limescale.

We were put in an extension of the hotel, not the main building, our double bed was 2 twin beds shoved together and one of us usually ended up slipping through the split in the middle.

Eventhough little dark, our room in Belvedere annex was good size, nicely decorated and had a great bathroom.

Breakfast was adequate, bar and restaurant quite pricey.

We were also told on arrival the restaurant was full but there were other restaurants near by, we walked up and down with no success and finally went back to the hotel without having eaten.

Very good breakfast buffet and good quality food in the restaurant in the evening (if a little on the pricy side).

Our rooms were spacious and clean, lovely breakfast enjoyed the waiter in the bar brought us tea.

The restaurant is outstanding and the morning breakfasts were excellent---everything you could ask for and much more!

No problem; I mentioned a restaurant that my wife and I had visited 15 years or so earlier that I knew was still good and they booked a table for us and called a taxi for us; excellent service from the reception desk staff.

Good location for seeing the sights, nice and clean hotel, quiet and excellent service from the staff.

Best part of the hotel was good service, especially Francesca at the reception was really lovely.

The pool area was great, car parking on sitebut local bus just outside the hotel made getting about very easy.

The pool at the hotel garden was great after long day trips around Tuscany.

The swimming pool and outdoor terrace, with a fabulous panorama of Siena and the tuscan hills beyond, made the simple 10 minute bus ride worth every second.

I've been given free wired and wireless access at 3-star hotels in Italy - the 4-star Hotel Garden charges obscene prices for it however.

The room was very clean and very nice and very quiet.

The other rooms in the hotel were in adjoining modern blocks, they looked clean and functional and seemed to be used by people attending meetings at the hotel.

It was small, but very clean and the bathroom was above-average as well.

The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean.

There was no view, and the room was not particularly clean.
