Hotel Gabrielli Sandwirth Venice - 威尼斯

While we were very pleased with the location - so close to a waterbus stop and very near St Mark's square, the bedroom(s) and breakfasts were disapponting.

It has a great location close to the waterbus and St Marks Square.

The location is the main attraction, being a short walk from St Mark’s Square and 100m from the water bus stop which led right up the Grand Canal.

There is a private taxi stand, a vaparetto exit and the airport shuttle stop right in front of the hotel.

When we departed a water taxi picked us up from the side entrance of the hotel where Vladimir had already loaded our luggage and wisked us off to the train station.

We upgraded to a lagoon view (room 325, a corner room) where we could watch all the water activity from our bed.

The first night's room was so small( "designed" for a single bed but with a double bed squeezd in.

The rooms are huge with beautiful new bathrooms, 20 foot ceilings, priceless views and a second half bath.

Completely spotless like the bedroom, with 2 sinks, a large bath, shower, toilet, bidet, coat stand and shelves.

In addition air conditioned room during a heat wave v comfortable bathroom and wonderful roof garden.

Their breakfast was very plain, but their restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.

You can have your breakfast either in the little restaurant which oddly also serves as the corridor to the elevator, so I would personally sit outside in the little garden.

We have spent almost two weeks at this hotel from November 11 through November 25, 2005,and greatly enjoyed its amenities, friendly athmosphere, its great location and quality of food at the hotel's restaurant.

Good breakfast can be eaten in courtyard in summer.

The breakfast area was like a corridor and the atmosphere frenetic, with long waits for a table and for particular breakfast dishes on the buffet to be replenished.

Our standard room had a great view of the Lagoon, we were glad to see that the good service and the breakfast crew was the only staff that was nice.

The only reason we did not give it full marks were the staff behind the reception desks who were not too helpful and a little unfriendly to say the least.

Very helpfull hotel staff and within a short walking distance of all the sights.

Very pleasant dining area, the place of the hotel is very good and the staff is very helpful and nice.

Lovely shaded rose garden and roof terrace for sunshine and views.

None of the previous hotels we visited (all 4*) had the option of sitting in a garden or roof top terrace, an unbeatable experience in this unique city.

If you stay here check out the roof terrace too, very lovely at sunset.

Room smallish and a little old fashioned but spotless, well maintained and very comfortable.

Additionally room is very clean and nice roof garden.

It's an old palace, and while our room was small, it was clean and comfortable.

The rooms very neat and tidy, breakfast good.
