Overview

The Hotel Excelsior is set on the beautiful Adriatic sea coast, close to the Old town of Dubrovnik, which is a UNESCO world heritage site, and next to Dubrovnik Aquarium and the Maritime Museum.

This relatively new property, opened in 2008, comprises all the charm and elegance of the long-standing tradition of Excelsior hotels. Guests are offered four restaurants, a piano bar, an indoor swimming pool, children’s pool, Jacuzzi pools, saunas, a Turkish bath, a fitness centre, a relaxation area, massage rooms and a hairdresser.

The venue offers 158 luxury guestrooms, which feature views over the Old Town and the island of Lokrum and are equipped with a flat screen satellite TV with internet access, an en-suite bathroom with power shower, bathrobes, slippers and exclusive toiletries, a mini-bar, a direct dial telephone and a safety deposit box free of charge.

The restaurants offer guests authentic local, national and international cuisine. The restaurant Sensus and the Palm Terrace with a spectacular view of the sea serve you a selection of savoury dishes. The Prora beach restaurant creates an ideal place for a romantic dinner and the Satu sushi bar and restaurant offers Japanese cuisine.

Dubrovnik airport is only 18km away from the Hotel Excelsior and close to the bus station.

Staff were all fantastic, the rooms were very clean and spacious.
Great value for money, stylish interior and the reception staff were not so friendly.
The sea are amazing and the location is literally five minutes walking distance from the old town of Dubrovnik.

The rooms were comfortable and clean and there was a great view from our room, the arrangement of the hotel transfer back to the airport was superb. Overall staff were very friendly and helpful, the balcony bar was amazing in the evening for a nice celebratory drink.
