Good geographical location, helpful in giving directions to train stations to see in Cologne and the river is beautiful.

The only real drawback would be for light sleepers as fast freights rattle through the station all night long and not just one or two either!

If you are thinking of taking a train to Bonn etc, the train station is located less than 2 minutes walk away which is very handy.

We travelled with three children and booked two rooms-one 2 bed and one 3 bed.

Rooms clean and with fully functioning bathrooms (don't you hate it when the shower turns out to be hand held or just plain busted?

The bathrooms were compact and crammed with good features such as a shower, a hairdryer, razor socket and air conditioning etc.

There is a lift should you need it but the stairs are OK.
