Hotel El Montiboli

The hotel is in a fabulous cliff-top location, with nice bedrooms and a nice swimming pool.

So a fabulous location but at a price - you decide!

The other in a quiet garden near to the beach and great location.

Please note: this hotel is about a 30-minute taxi ride from Alicante airport.

Thats where you are "stuck" as the Montiboli is remote and taxis are needed, however there is a hotel nearby and we ate there ( 12 euros for a set menu!

The bedroom contained bed side cabinets, Satellite TV with pay per view movies (only Sky news and CNN for us Brits), a mini bar which was free and restocked daily (no spirits), lots of wardrobe space and use of a free digital safe.

We were given a " Romantic" room,( Montiboli has 3 types of rooms and also suites.

The bathroom was in laid out well in three sections - mirror, hair dryer, shaving etc with sink - Toilet/Bidet - Power Shower.

We were staying bed & breakfast so we decided to look for somewhere else to dine in the evenings during our stay as it was a bit pricey (110 euros - 3 people, no starter, main course and desert - no wine).

Our room overlooked the mountains with the sea to the left - apparently the 'sea view' rooms are also excellent but book early for those as they are the most desirable!

Followed by great food in both the restaurants (lunch and evening a la carte dining) Highly recommend the Warm Duck froi gras and the Wild Pigeon.

Large room, excellent breakfast and superb pre dinner cocktails in the amazing bar.

We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights of our stay, and we found the food to be very good.

I've probably stayed in a dozen RC hotels round Europe and regularly experience good London restaurants, the simple fact is the main restaurant here is bland and a waste of everyone's time.

The birthday meal was taken in the hotel main restaurant - delicious food (but a bit pricey ) and excellent service.

Fantastic secluded hotel, excellent helpful staff and we ordered room service for dinner was very fast.

The whole stay was wonderful and the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Views from this hotel are truly beautiful and the waiter service is good.

The food was wonderful and the spa was fine.

We spent all day Saturday at the beach and all day Sunday at the hotel's main pool.

In addition all the staff are polite and the bathrooms are clean.

The staff speak good English, the bathrooms are clean and the restaurants are excellent.

Rooms in the main hotel are spacious clean and comfortable and there are others cabanas amongst the flowers and other vegetation overlooking the sea.

The room was perfect, spotless and a large south facing balcony looking out to the sea.
