This romantic hotel comprises five townhouses on the West End. The service is absolutely amazing and the rooms are just splendid. The traditional Scottish breakfast can't be missed, and there's a nice fireplace in the tearoom. The food at the Bistro, run by chef Paul Tamburrini, was also praised.

The restaurant was superb and dinner was very good also.
Peacefulness not normally found in such a busy location, also the Hotel itself was Beautiful and dining staff on the Saturday evening were excellent especially the Sommelier Laurent was knowledgeable.
Nice relaxing surroundings, through pleasant streets and the hotel is in a quiet location.

Getting there

Glasgow Airport is located eight miles away and the transfer will take you 17 minutes by car.

By car from the M8, take A739 Clyde Tunnel. After coming the Clyde Tunnel, continue straight ahead through two traffic lights, pelican lights and keep in left-hand lane and follow the signs for City Centre/Kelvinside. After negotiating this junction you will pass under a railway bridge - you are on the A82 (Great Western Road). Continue straight ahead through three sets of traffic lights and turn right at the next set into Hyndland Road. The hotel is on your right, on the corner of Hyndland Road with Great Western Road. Take first road to the right, into Hughenden Road, right again at the mini-roundabout and then a further right at the end of the road.

Driving from the M8, take Junction 17 and follow sign for A82 Dumbarton/Kelvinside (Great Western Road). Continue straight along this road through pedestrian lights, three traffic lights and two pelican lights. Approximately 1.5 miles after leaving the motorway, you will come to a set of traffic lights where the Botanics are situated on your right hand side, (junction of Byres Road/Queen Margaret Drive). Travel through these traffic lights, at the second set of traffic lights after the Hilton turn left into Hyndland Road. The hotel is on the corner of Hyndland Road with Great Western Road). Take first road to the right, into Hughenden Road, right again at the mini-roundabout and then a further right at the end of the road.

The wedding in the hotel was truly fantastic and the staff we extremly nice and helpful and made sure we had a lovely weekend for my boyfriends 30th. The room also had a fine selection of tea and coffee available.
