My wife and I stayed one Friday night in August here and were wowed by the value for such a historic hotel.
The hotel is physically beautiful, particularly if you receive a deluxe room that includes a sitting area (it is the same price as a normal room).
It seems that this particular hotel is very attentive when someone is spending a substantial amount of money there but if a problem arises after the bill has been paid they forget what your name is.
The location is about 6 straight blocks off of I-95 and so easy to get to.
Most times when I stay there I often have to depart the hotel before 7am so it's great to come down to the lobby and find complimentary coffee waiting for me along with my car or a taxi!
The only thing I wish they had was a shuttle from the Philly airport!
Beautiful rooms, suite-style with separate sitting area/sofa bed and very large bathroom with shower and separate large tub, large soft bath towels.
The rooms are beyond plush with an oversized bathroom (with a huge tub and shower), separate seating area with a couch and two chairs, and a large comfortable king size bed.
Great bathroom, huge shower, romantic tub and bouncy bed.
The next day we requested another room for our second night and did get another suite with a king bed in it on an upper floor which was quiet.
The rooms are very nice, almost suite-like, with very comfortable beds, terrific fixtures throughout, and a great bathroom.
When returning with our cocktails, the waiter went through the entire menu from memory and informed us that the restaurant was voted #30 out of the top 100 hotel restaurants by a newspaper.
Room service was excellent and the breakfast food was good.
The Exchange restaurant was a little gem and also a few steps away was a great family run chocolate shop on Market street.
The quality of food in the famous Green Room for breakfast was poor and the front desk was very accomodating.
The area it's located in is a bit dead, but we had a couple of good meals at nearby upscale restaurants.

Calls to the front desk or concierge were always answered with “good evening/morning, Mrs.
Room service staff were also extremely attentive.
Well worth the small fee compared to the area parking garages, absolutely beautiful hotel and spectacular lobby.
Fitness center was excellent and we attended a wedding in the hotel's ballroom was very elegant.
Valet parking was $22/day which seemed a bit steep considering the area.
Free high-speed internet is a huge plus and the sign-in system couldn’t be easier to use.
Our room was clean, service was excellent in both the restaurant and dinner was delicious.

Stay at the majestic Hotel Dupont, the service in general was very good and the room was spotless.
When we got to our room, a deluxe king, it appeared clean and in good shape.
Our room was clean but light bulbs were out, the alarm clock went off at 5:30am on a Saturday and housekeeping entered the room without knocking.
