It is simply not good enough that just because I am a single traveller I am expected to stay in a 3 star quality room but pay 4 star hotel prices.
The price of the hotel was very cheap for us at this time of year, we paid £65 for a room per night, which included breakfast.
Well located in the centre of Interlaken and in this hotel you can enjoy a central quiet location so is very convenient to travel all around the region.
Good location, very nice staff and safe in my room came in handy.

The Du Nord is in an excellent position for access to Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West stations and to the boats on lakes Brienz and Thun.
The Hotel Du Nord is close to the Interlaken East station.
Very nice big size room we had booked double room this room had 1 double and 1 twin bed.
The double bed was twin beds pushed together and made up with double sheets, the linen was clean, but the duvets looked a bit flat and the pillows were very thin although the hotel does offer more pillows if you want them.
They also take in lots of half-board customers, and we mere bed and breakfasters were rather put off by the fact that the best (window) tables at breakfast were reserved for the half-boarders.
Had a fabulous view of Interlaken, the bed were very comfortable and staff excellent as was the breakfast.
The room was very clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom.
The hotel restaurant was shut, we presume because of the time of year, but there are plenty of restaurants in the town to take your pick from, so it was not a problem.
The breakfasts were very generous and a great variety of food was on offer.
In addition nice restaurant and good carpark facilities.
The waiter at breakfast very careful and attentive.
What made our holiday was the restaurant owner (Vera) and her staff.
I can sleep very well in this hotel and the front desk staff is extremely attentive to its guests' needs.

The hotel has offers on a range of activities and services and I made free use of a local swimming pool one evening and had a discount on access to a sauna in another hotel another evening.
The loction is good not far from the interlaken ost station and the free access to the city swimming pool.
The best thing this place had going for it was the free entry to the nearby swimming pool and wellness centre.
The room was spacious, clean and the shower was outstanding.
Had lovely views over the mountains and the room was clean.
The standard room was spacious, clean and well maintained with good facilities.
