Easy to find with YouTube video and maps. Receptionist spoke great English and was exuberantly helpful. Room 37 at end of the hall was perfect with plenty of room. Breakfast always on time and very good. Short walk to everything. Loved the privacy and tourist Rome experience. 👍

The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. They even sent an email to us after we got back to Australia to make sure we got home safely. You don't get that level of care at many places!
It's a hotel that is still finding its feet a bit. When we got there the air conditioner wasn't working and we had to wait two days before it was fixed. It wasn't a huge problem as it was not too hot when we were there and we don't mind the heat but it may have bothered some. Then on the second day the hot water stopped working. Credit to the hotel though they got it fixed as quick as they could but we did have to go one night without a warm shower. Again, it didn't bother us hugely because we knew they were doing what they could to fix it but it may have bothered others. Overall a great hotel, awesome location, good price - but maybe go for an extra star if you're a traveller that likes things to be 'perfect'.

The manager was very knowledgeable and gave us some good ideas for our stay. He answered all our questions and even researched places to eat for our last night. The room was clean with air con (which was really needed during our stay!) and you can choose a 'room service-style' breakfast each morning.
Third floor and no lift - so make sure you're used to stairs or are fit enough to lug suitcases up! Also the breakfast might not arrive at the time you specify - we asked for 8.15 each morning, but it arrived at 8 - we weren't sure why we were given the option of 15 minutes either side if it wouldn't happen. Also it was hard to find initially because there was no sign. Plus the safe didn't work as the batteries weren't installed - but we didn't need a safe anyway. Otherwise it was great! :D

The value for money at De Monti was exceptional, with a comfortable and clean room that met my expectations. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the landmarks and train stations, and the staff were attentive and helpful throughout my stay.
The breakfast experience could be improved with a wider variety of options.

The receptionist is amazingly helpful! Very friendly and always gave us very good suggestions of what we could do while in Rome. You can trust anything he says and suggests. If you find any problems or need anything just ask him and he will be there to help you out! I would go again in Rome just to have a chat with him! Rooms are also very clean, modern and comfortable and the location is perfect for Rome. The breakfast was really good as well.
There was nothing which I didnt like about the hotel.

The hotel is really new. We were one of the first guests.Rooms are very clean with all modern conveniences. The location is great - very close to the centre and main monuments of Rome. Alessandro, the owner, is very amiable person, he knows Italian, English and Russian well, he'll answer all your questions.
The wardrobe in our room ( the last on the right side of corridor ) was very small. Panisperna street is rather noisy, so if you like to sleap with opened window, ask the owner for a room on the other side of the building.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager. He came to pick us up from the station at night. He also told us about the sights and places in Rome and gave us useful tips about them. The room was beautiful and decorated with taste and style. Everything was brand new and clean. The location was central, near the Termini Station and within walking distance from many of the major sights. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this hotel!

Great location - calm street in the city centre, near the Termini station and also Colosseum. Hotel staff was very kind, Alessandro gave us plenty of cool tips for our visit, which was very helpful. Room was comfortable, nice, new and clean. And breakfast in bed tastes better :) We will definitely stay here, if we come to Rome again.

Hotel is new and very clean, located in the center of Roma, to Vatican by walk in 40 minutes, to Coliseum in 7minutes. The most important that the staff very friendly, careful. Manager explained the places where to eat, where to go, how to get somewhere we need and many others interesting and useful things. Without his suggestion our trip could not be so interesting. We enjoy everyday of our stay in hotel.

This hotel is in a great location near the train station and near all attractions. The room was big by Europe standards and newly renovated. The price was great for what I got. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I recommend this hotel.
There was a bit of work on the floor above. It didn't bother me but I could hear them from 7:30 am to 7:30pm sometimes. Also the toilet made some odd noises occasionally but overall I was very comfortable in this room.

De Monti is not fancy. From an essentially unmarked door, it is up three flights of stairs. No lobby. But the room was fine, and the help and friendliness of Mauro made it all fun and worthwhile. He even hauls your bags up and down those stairs. The location is wonderful. No pretension, but great value. Free wi-fi.

finding it on the street- no signage- just a buzzer, if we were told this beforehand, it wouldn't be a problem

We stayed at Hotel De Monti for 3 nights from 4/11/2012, they enabled us to experience the real Rome, from booking to our return home we experienced 5* customer service. All staff that we encountered were exceptionally friendly and it felt that they wanted us to experience the Rome that they know and love! We received restaurant recommendations, which were very reasonably priced with excellent food and excellent service! We had hints and tips of how to avoid queues at the major attractions which in turn allowed us to see all the sights and spend the morning at the Pope's audience! The room was a good size and the breakfast perfect, location was excellent with the colosseum only 5minutes away, all other sights within walking distance. The stairs were steep at the hotel but we were assisted with luggage on arrival, so no problem really! We also booked the taxi transfer which was an 'experience' but got us door to door in 20mins ! All in all a fantastic trip, I am convinced that if we hadn't stayed at Hotel De Monti we would not have experienced Rome properly! Highly recommended to all our family and friends!!
