This hotel is beautiful and the overall rating would be an Excellent.

Its location in the medieval cite of Carcassonne is stunning and to enjoy a very luxurious stay in an historic setting.

The location very convenient, exciting atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Perfect location, so stay at the hotel de la Cite - just don't eat there and the staff is excellent.

The bed was huge and the meal was fabulous.

The bed was huge, it could have slept at least 5 people and the staff left beautiful hand made chocolates when they turned down your sheets.

The bathroom was great, two wash basins with bath and separate walk in shower.

Romantic views from the bedroom windows across turrets towers, well appointed hotel and the staff were attentive.

Our room was perfect and breakfast buffet in their restaurant Chez Saskia was good.

The meals were great - the breakfasts the best we had whilst in France.

The bathroom was lovely, the food in their second restaurant were patchy at best.

The staff are charming, foreign tv channels didnt work and the bar are lovely.

Bar - stylish, 2 heated towel racks and i am a great tea drinker.

    Carcassonne old city is a large Alcatraz for tourists and the hotel is just beautiful. Staff is very nice and friendly, internet is free of charge.

    Our room had a private door out to the pool area, our stay of 4 nights in this hotel was truly superb and staff were excellent - arranged bikes. The bathroom was large and the food was exquisite.

    Wonderful hotel and staff excellent. Rooms spacious, huge fireplaces and the food lived up to its fabulous reputation. Aromatic wines following the chef’s gourmet menu and nice pool.

    The drive out of the city is a bit challenging in that the streets are very narrow, other restaurants in town are very busy and the management style is old fashioned and inflexible.
