Hotel Cristal Geneva - 日内瓦

The hotel has a brilliant location for a short stay - really close to the train station (as the train from the airport only takes 5 minutes you can be out and about sightseeing very quickly) and easy walking distance to the lake and old town.

However, the location was very convenient, close to the station without actually hearing the trains and close to the bus station and Lake Geneva.

However, the location of the hotel couldn't be any better, almost everything is in walking distance and its very convenient.

The second day we were heading to the train station so picked up some coffee and pastries in the underground shopping area that leads to the station, probably the best place to find a cheap breakfast!

Coming back I will either stay at the airport or stay in town close to the train station.

It was noisy - particularly when diners left nearby restaurants and whenever the restaurant workers put bottles into the bottle collection depots and whenever the garbage trucks came which was all the time, day and night.

Tip if you are arriving late and are in desperate need of some food: about five minutes walk from the hotel is an Italian style restaurant (near the church) and they serve freshly cooked food until midnight.

The breakfast room, in the rear on the ground floor, was cheerful and the food was standard Switzerland three-star hotel fare.

Reception always efficient, very friendly helpful receptionist and the rooms were clean and adequate.

Location was great for shopping, all the hotels we stayed in in Europe were excellent - except for this one and staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.

I cant really complain about the service we were given by the staff but I thought the rooms although clean, were very basic and dated and the location of the hotel is awful.

Maid service is good and they don't bother you if you want to lie in a bit later.

I note that some travelers complained about the noise from the parking area , we did not here a thing but that could be because we were on the top floor.

The staff were fine and the room was spacious and clean.

The bathroom were clean, breakfast was standard continental.
