The hotel was situated 10 minutes walk from the station (a very pleasant walk) or you can opt for an electric taxi, as there are no motorised vehicles in Zermatt - a truly beautiful little town.

The bedroom was very good, king size bed, plasma TV and the bathroom had a bathtub.

BIG FOOD HINT: The hotel breakfast buffet was the usual bread, cheese, yogurt, boiled egg coffee and juice but it was better than most of the other meals we had and it was included in the hotel bill!

The breakfast room also had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, but the food was quite limited.

The dining room had a BIG VIEW and we were able to take millions of photos there each morning at breakfast, as the golden sun lit up the peak.

But we found the dining rooms on the slopes were better, so we ended up eating a big meal at lunchtime, and going for soup or pizza in the evening.
