Hotel Costa Galana Mar del Plata

Nice relatively suburban location just across from the beach.

Maybe I dislike the distance to Downtown but taxis were available.

A few more blocks back (take a taxi for next to nothing) is a great street (Guemes) with many nice shops and eateries.

Rooms are modern, spacious, with safe, TV, radio/cd equipment.

Everything was fine: the service, the room.

The Hotel Galana was very beautiful and the suite is a must.

You can also get wireless Internet access in your room for an extra $10 a day.

Breakfast is a buffet one, and if you want food that is not over the counters, the chef arrange it to you at no surcharge.

Didn't use the hotel's restaurants as there are so many places to eat locally - try the place three blocks back opposite the Cemetery.

A tip: visit the piano bar friday and/or saturday nights and be delighted with a girl that sings bossanova with an amazing voice.

Los desayunos con almuerzo tardíos del domingo, 'brunch' (de breakfast+lunch), son espectaculares.

Breakfast in the hotel has lots of choice.

If you are not a beach person there is a great pool (second floor, no sea view) with staff who are attentive, but don't try to Sell at every opportunity.

The hotel's interior design is not "beach-side casual" - if you moved the hotel to the best area of Buenos Aires it would fit in just fine - but the staff are charming and helpful.

The staff is friendly and they use to care of their guests as if they are royalty.

We would recommend this Hotel to anyone - excellent views, the service is very good.

Two jacuzzis, a climated outdoor pool, sauna, etc.

The spa was enjoyable, so was the hot pool.

There is a nice pool and exercise area as well.
