I really liked the hotel shop - they are well stocked with anything you may have forgotten and at reasonable prices.
Bring your own snacks and drinks to avoid paying higher prices at the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, it's not overly priced and you leave feeling you got your money's worth.
With the price of this hotel (we got a rate of $169 per night), we were surprised at some of the oversights.
The hotel is situated in a perfect location for walking everywhere.

The location was close to everything but far enough away to avoid the craziness of the Alamo Bowl revelers.
Take a taxi to and from the airport/hotel; actually cheaper than the airport shuttle service and much quicker than waiting for the shuttle to show-up(after waiting 40min.
Cab fare from th airport to the hotel was $20.
Other then that, the rooms were as you would expect for an all suite hotel, the bed was comfortable, the bath was a good size and the hotel location was great for a weekend visit.
We love suite hotels since they allow us to put the kids to bed in one room and we can relax afterwards in the other room.
Room: Large suite with bathroom dividing the living room and the bedroom.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, with separate living area, good size bathroom, small hall area and then the bedroom, which has floor to ceiling windows.
Bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed, long desk, flat screen TV, and closet.
The restaurant was ok for breakfast and like most hotel restaurants they were pricey.
Breakfast and lunch in the hotel restaurant were good food, and plenty of it (as were the conference refreshments, actually).
The bar staff was pleasant and friendly, food was excellent in the restaurant too.
Everything is within walking distance of the: Alamo, Rivercenter, San Fernando Cathedral, convention center, etc… The restaurant has a delicious breakfast buffet, and their lunch and dinner is good.
The bar opens out onto the riverwalk, from where it's an easy stroll to other restaurants, bars, shops, and attractions.
Concierge, front desk, maid service, bellboys and all staff were amazing and very helpful!

The hotel also has a spa, though it lacks in amenities right now (no sauna, jacuzzi, lockers, etc.
Most of these were related to housekeeping and the pool.
The pool, spa and workout facility is located on the roof level.
Only "cons" I noticed - no free wireless, which is pretty much standard in downtown, upscale hotels.
The room was spotless clean and decorated very nicely.
The decor is fresh and modern and the rooms were very very clean.
We had a riverview room which was spacious and clean.
We were on the 8th floor and our room was very clean and looked exactly like they were advertised on their website.
The suites are great and spotlessly clean.
