A hotel which is long past its sell by date - blocked toilet in room - outdated furnishings and bathroom - overall definately a 2 star rather than a 4 star hotel.
Our room was absolutely huge and breakfasts were especially good.

Ive been visiting Puerto for over twenty years and normally stay in apartments in the La Paz area but as our booking was last minute they were unable to accomodate us and so we chose the Bonanza Palace.
The food in the restaurant is very good quality and there is plenty of it.
The hotel is sited just to the North of Puerto de la Cruz centre but has a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops locally.
We particularly enjoyed the breakfast - a huge variety of everything you could possibly want, freshly prepared.
A very nice bar, with entertainment in the evenings.
We were on a half board option and the breakfast and dinner are both taken buffet style.
Recommended - but not if you want waiter service for your meals.
The staff were friendly and the balcony was huge.
Location were very good, our stay was made very enjoyable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The situation of the hotel is good - about a 15-minute walk down to the town, though there is a bus service as well.
My son jumped into the pool and was frozen to the bone - a considerable walk to the town below which is lovely.
Location is good although parking is mainly on street as the hotel car park is quite small.
Parking is limited in the car park but there is plenty of on street parking in the area.
The staff were friendly and our room was spotless and spacious.
