Great views of the river, the hotel is excellent for location definitely and good value for money at 190 USD for a triple room.
Helpful hotel staff and reasonable prices.
If you can get a cheaper price than we paid and make sure you have a room high up, then the hotel is fine.
If you want a well located hotel, that is well maintained , with a reasonable breakfast at a fair price , pick the Berchielli.
It's in a nice location on the river, close to the markets, the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi.
For exploring Florence this location can't be beat.
We stayed at the Berchielli on a busy sat night and fell in love with the room & location.
The train station (Santa Maria Novella) is also about 15 minutes away by foot; a taxi runs about 8-10 euros.
We called a taxi to get to the train station - a 7€ trip to the hotel became a €13 on the way back.
The rooms are large for a European hotel and have tall double windows, many lamps, flatscreen TV, nice carpeting, and Frette bed and bath linens.
The room was a triple, it was very big with two beds in one room and the third bed in a separate room.
The room was more than adequate with 2 full size beds and a twin bed which pulled out of a loveseat for my daughter.
And then at the end of the hallway a bedroom with two beds and another bathroom.
Our room was enormous - the biggest I've stayed in so far - and had the largest double bed I've ever slept in.
Apart from the breakfast room facility, the hotel does not have a restaurant - but don't worry - there are dozens of restaurants to choose from within a few minutes walk.
Beds were comfortable, an indoor bar offered a wide variety of drinks and the food for the breakfast was varied.
There is a breakfast veranda which is very nice and an indoor bar which offered a wide variety of drinks.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and we loved having a small bar available to have a glass of wine at the end of the day!
The breakfasts are excellent with a wide selection of diferent foods to suit all tastes and the breakfast room is elegant and beautiful.
Some of the waiters were friendlier than others though the staff at reception were always courteous and helpful.
The staff was very helpful; when we asked about train schedules to Rome, the concierge booked tickets and had them delivered to the hotel for us.
The availability of free internet service in the lobby was appreciated and the staff were all extremely nice and professional.
The front desk staff were helpful in trying to make.
The old world charm overlooking the river and the lobby is nice.
Furthermore hotel is good and the lobby is very nice.
The hotel lobby area is certainly very stylish and in the Art Nouveau style.
The rooms were so clean and spotless they gleamed.
The rooms are not super deluxe but they are comfortable, clean and more than adequate.
The staff were extremely helpful and room was clean.
