Beacon Hotel New York - 纽约

The location is excellent for visiting NYC as is near central park, also the fact that the hotel is located across the road from a great supermarket and would have been nice to have a small coffee bar.

The hotel is located on Broadway near west 72 street and just a few steps away from the subway station so the location is great.

The location is fantastic, close to the subway, supermarket across the street, great restaurants nearby, short stroll to Central Park and transport.

The hotel itself is situated on 75th street broadway, which is 2 blocks ( about 1 min away) from the 72nd street main subway where you can get a Metro card fun pass ( good for rail and bus) for the day for $7 you can go anywhere in nyc on the card.

There is a subway stop less than two blocks away and taxis are very easy to get right out the door.

2 double beds in bedroom and large very comfy sofa bed in sitting room.

I have to say from the outset that we loved the location and the hotel itself and we were very impressed with the rooms (1 Bed Suite with Sitting Room & Kitchenette).

Once checked-in, the room has cute kitchen and equipments + coffeemaker :) We had two full comfy beds; bathroom is good size and clean; shower has good water pressure; tv has all cable channels.

Our suite was spacious by New York standards, with a well-appointed living room with a sofabed (which became my daughter's domain), a full kitchen, and a good-sized bedroom with two queen beds.

The apartment was spacious especially by NYC standards,with two double beds in the bedroom and a living room with a kitchenette at the end.

The hotel itself doesn't have a bar or restaurant but that's not a concern for us as we never eat where we'er staying anyway.

The restaurant of the hotel is OK for a quick meal or breakfast (you will need to go out the hotel to access the restaurant - no direct access from the hotel lobby).

Upstairs restaurant is great for breakfast & also does dinner in the evenings.

Fact that Beacon does not have a bar or restaurant is a positive thing as it encourages.

Breakfast at on-site restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

Very good maid service, reception staff welcoming but concierge service a bit hit and miss.

The location was perfect for my business meetings that night, the staff from the front desk to housekeeping to concierge were.

However, elevators/lifts for AirTrain but not at other subway stations.

Nice folks in the lobby arranged a shuttle for us to Kennedy Airport.

The elevators are a bit dicey (we were offered use of a service elevator) and there's no restaurant (a lunch place is next door), but it came in about $100-200 less than its counterparts.

We were unable to make a connection to a wireless network, but it was a short visit, so it was OK.

We did not use the wireless network, so can't comment either way.

I found our room very well kept and very clean, and believe me im quite hard to impress with regards to the way hotels clean their properties, sure there is always room for improvement but it was nearly spotless!

The price is great, the rooms are HUGE (in comparison to Europe), clean and tidy and it's in a great location on the lovely Upper West side, away from the tourism, hustle and bustle of "Times Square".

The hotel itself is clean and friendly, and my room was huge by New York standards, especially for the $160 rate I got.

We stayed for 4 nights on the 10th floor and the room was large, clean and full of natural light, the wireless internet in the room was a big plus as well.

The Beacon hotel has spacious clean rooms, as well as easy to walk to central park and staff is very pleasant and helpful.
