  Hotel is very central, and is modern and clean. Rooms are comfortable, with nice bathrooms. Breakfast is OK - not great.

  Wireless internet is free but is only accessible in the lobby.

  It is centrally situated in a good position with an outdoor pool which we didn't use because the weather was rainy. However because they were superior we were entitled to a special concierge service which was terrific. Wine trips and restaurants were recommended and booked for us [all were good] and flights confirmed all with a smile. The hotel restaurant food was good and we were able to get a late dinner when we arrived at the hotel about 11. When you check out the hotel does a search of your room, we found this with other hotels in Argentina. Big centrally located hotel, good concierge service.

  We had superior rooms on the 6th floor which were quite small and stuffy with small bathrooms.

  Where to begin-we arrived on Friday night and we experienced a nice welcome from the receptionist, our rooms were good (though not a 4 star hotel by either European or US standards but I have gotten use to that in Argentina). The reception staff were helpful in assisting us with booking a tour of the Andes and wine tours. This bar was having a party which included a dj.

  However, when we spoke to the night manager, they said that the noise was coming from another source. That source was a bar/wine store, the Winery, that backed up to the bedrooms of the hotel. The night manager indicated that they would call the Winery and have them turn down the music. At 3am, the music was playing louder than ever and we asked the night manager, who had tried unsuccessfully to call the Winery, to call the police. He indicated that he would and we returned to bed. At this stage most of the guests were calling reception asking what was been done about the noise. At this stage, I got dressed and went down to the lobby.

  The front desk staff were not helpful( and downright snarky). The upside to this hotel was the fine dining which proved to be imaginative and tasty. Bellboys were also helpful and friendly, although there was no service in the pool area and a limited menu.

  Although our experience was generally alright, we would not rate it as a 4 star hotel- the room was tiny, bathroom was out-of-date and carpet was dirty. As a result of no airconditioning, we were forced to sleep with the window open which proved to be a very noisy night from the street traffic. Room service while ok the first morning was tardy the second and needed a second telephone call for results.

  The staff were the least helpful & most unfriendly we encountered in South America.

  The biggest issue was the ventilation in the bathroom - it seemed anytime a guest anywhere in the hotel used their toilet, the odour made its way into our bathroom & eventually, into our bedroom. Not only is the hotel desperately in need of refurbishment, but our room was really unclean. The "white" towels were worn grey & thin. The bed was hard & had a thin dirty blanket as its only covering. We'd highly recommend Hotel Argentino for the same price - tiny rooms, but newer, cleaner & much more pleasant.

  Rooms are bathrooms are relatively small and the desk staff is not really friendly. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel but quite decent for the price.

  Being from Ireland, we found the price of the hotel very very cheap but to be honest, we thought it should really be a 3 star. Given the price of Argentine hotels, we had expreinced much better 4-5 star s for close to the same price. The bar was fine but given that the hotel was so central, we ate and drank outside for the two nights we stayed. The staff were mostly fine (bar staff, room service) but the reception staff were a little distant. One thing that really irritated us was that just as we were going to check out, a large (20+) party checked out just ahead of us and all started haggling with the single member of staff about the room service bills (we're talking hotly debated sums of 2-5 dollars each here). When all this was going on, another receptionist was checking in 1-2 guests at a lesuirely pace. All in all, a decent place to stay with a great location but perhaps you should either spend the same money on an actual 3 star with a more homely staff touch or make the most of the (relatively for europeans) cheap rates and treat yourself and stay in the Hyatt.

  The hotel lobby was impressive and the rooms were spacious and we had a nice view of the Andes. The bellboys were excellent - they were the ones who let us know when we had missed a guest dropping by, who gave us recommendations for restaurants, and who offered to let us keep our baggage at the hotel for the day after we checked out, so we could explore worry-free before catching our 9pm bus back to Buenos Aires. I will say that the lunch we had at the hotel restaurant was the most beautiful presentation I have seen in a long time.

  There weren't any major problems, but there were quite a few annoyances: it was very loud, between the construction outside, the dogs barking, and the street traffic, the front desk never had change and was unwilling to help us change 100 pesos, something I would expect a four-star hotel to be able to do (which was annoying when we needed to pay a guide immediately), the air conditioning in our room didn't work, we got physically locked out of the hotel when we came back at 1am one morning (what is this, a hostel?

  Front desk was helpful but always looked tired and it was impossible to obtain any change for any Argentine denomination large or small. Bellmen were very friendly and efficient. With the 3-1 exchange rate the hotel is a great value but looking back I would not stay here again, I would pay more and stay at one of the wineries in the area i. The food, service and wine there was sublime.

  It was a bit noisy at night but bearable, bed was great but linen and appointments were lacking.

  The hotel is well located in central Mendoza on a relatively quiet street. Despite that, I found that I could still hear a fair bit of traffic noise in my room. Rooms are smaller but certainly acceptable. The elevators are also very small so there can be quite a wait at peak times. The hotel has a smallish but nice pool and deck area which was very popular with guests. The hotel's main restaurant was a pleasant surprise - with an interesting/innovative menu and very friendly service. A nice hotel with a surprisingly good restaurant.
