good location, old design of the rooms,

both rooms were very loud- 1 room affected by a/c, the other room location ( old loud stairways and closing of the hall way door). breakfast was served in another building around the corner and upcharge on small change of breakfast item. No help with the luggage

We especially liked the spa up on the 5th floor, great roof-top view and clean water. The best French resturant was right across the street. When asked about morning coffee service in the room, the front desk clerk brought a new filter bag with coffee in less than thirty seconds.

That it is pretty much in the center of the city.

We informed them that the free breakfast was no good. They did nothing about it. So we went else where for breakfast, which we paid for. And at lease got a hot and not cold breakfast. Their free breakfast was cold and looked like it had been sitting there for days. We were even told by one of their staff that they knew this, but the owners would not do anything about it. We also had to ask for bathroom tissue, and kleenex. This was our honeymoon!

Like staying in the heart of old Quebec City, easy walking distance to St. Jean Street shopping and restaurants and attractions. Hotel is quaint, cozy and has character. I stayed here 5 years ago on business and chose to return with my husband for a 2 day visit. Each room is different and althought the building is old, the bathrooms are new and spotless and furniture is nice. Last visit my bathroom was a fair size, this time it was very small (only bath and toilet) and large wash basin was outside the bathroom. I didn't mind this as it means I can brush my teeth was someone else is in the bathroom. Breakfast is around the corner at Le Feu Sacre and was good with a spread of cereal; yoghurt; fruits; muffins; toast; scrambled egg; sausage; crepes.

Be aware that parking is extra - $18/day but is to be expected in such a tight built up city area. Wouldn't recommend if you can't climb stairs as there is no elevator.

Hotel's location to Old Town Quebec was excellent. Walking distances to the sites could not have been better. Hotel was quiet and room was clean. Accomodations for breakfast around the corner at their other property worked out real well.

I would have hoped for an outdoor patio facility.

Our deluxe room was on the fifth floor and there wasn't an elevator. We could not stand up in part of the room due to the roof line and windows. The breakfast restaurant had mediocre food at best.

The location is really great, so I could reach the Old town within a few minutes.

In my age of 62 I arrived at 11 am but was told check in was only possible after 16h, so had to be on my legs several hours. I arrived back to the Hotel at 15h and was sitting in front of the reception desk, evidently seen by the receptionist. However all of a sudden I saw newly arrived people coming up and checking in, so I had to raise my voice, otherwise would be probably still waiting for my check in. Besides, I had to carry my luggage myself to the fifth floor by a narrow and really curving stairs, which took away completely my chance to enjoy Quebec. yOU do not want complaints, no it"s just confirmation of the fact.

Staff were very friendly and helpful; room was very comfortable and clean; location was in close proximity to the music festival and other shopping, touring and restaurant venues. Off-street parking was available.

Need to fix a hole in one of the screens on the windows and provide better instructions on how to operate the whirlpool (referred to a white button but I could bever find it.)

Nice hotel near the center of old Quebec.

No elevator in the hotel. Breakfast was includedf but you get a coupon of 4 can dollar for breakfast in another location

This hotel is very charming and in the center of Old Quebec City. It is on a side street of two major streets so it is very convenient to restaurants, etc. but is away from the street noise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there if I were to go to Quebec again.

It was unique and it was nicely located. We did not get cleaning service, however, which was not pleasant. Staff was helpful and I just felt it could have been cleaner. I think the old carpets have something to do with that.

Rip up the old carpets and either tile it or make it easier to keep clean.

good value accomodation very central to everything -breakfast included - just a few steps down the street. -staff are very helpful and friendly. -nice deck off 2nd. floor for relaxing outside your room. -good exercise walking up 4 or 5 flights of stairs- lets you eat guilt free.- and there is no shortage of good food in Quebec city. -this hotel could pose a problem for some potential guests if they can't use stairs.

The spa on the rooftop was a great feature that we took advantage of. We also loved the updated rooms including a gorgeous washroom. The old brick walls were equally gorgeous and added to and already wonderful ambiance.

The hotel is small and charming. The front desk staff was very informative and knowledgeable about the area. The location was excellent, walking distance to everything!

The hotel has no elevator and our room was on the fourth floor, with very narrow, curvy stairs. A staff person did offer to help us up to our room with our luggage, which we declined, because we figured it was no big deal. I think they should have insisted, or at least mentioned the fact that there was no elevator! Also, we had a lovely, large jacuzzi tub in our room with a note saying it was inoperable!
