The hotel is certainly above par and good value for money.
The breakfast the following morning was very nice and overall I found the hotel to be good value for money.
All in all we can say that the hotel was good value for money and we experienced friendly staff.
The prices for this hotel vary greatly and one piece of advice I would give is that if you are asked to pay more that £100.
Excellent location and the Hotel was in a good situation from was easy to access amenities.

The location close to city centre for walking, the high cost of is basically a very average hotel and yes the showers are very modern.
This does seem like this hotel caters to business travellers and the location was only a 5 - 10 minutes walk to most of the city.

The contemporary decor and furniture in the rooms and bar were great and the purpose built walk in shower is so much better than a bath tub and shower fitment!
The rooms are average size but the en-suite bathroom was very nice with a large shower cubicle.
The room was clean, the beds excellent and the bathroom nice.
The breakfast was what you would expect from a combined continental/full english breakfast and we did not leave the restaurant hungry.
Breakfast was very nice and the bar area was great and a nice place to sit after a long day.
45 minute old fried egg, with a 21st birthday hangover is NOT the ideal way to start a day), if possible save money and get a room only, and eat breakfast out.
The bar area looks nice enough rather public and the hotel was within walking distance to the main shops.
My only slight criticism was the evening meals in the restaurant were a bit pricey for a family, so we ate elsewhere in the evenings - there is plenty of choice in York.

Great location, my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for his bday last week the staff were fab rooms were modern and the service on reception was friendly and welcoming.
About 10 minute walk from City Centre was ideal for shopping trip, the staff at hotel 53 were extreamly helpfull and the service was good.
Hotel is very modern and the reception staff are polite.
The car parking is not ideal as they only have a few spaces - but that is a few more than most city centre hotels, and the £10 per night charge is cheaper than the public car parks.
Tip - don't shout and swear at the staff about the car parking - it's not their fault!
The Travelodge over the road is cheaper and of the same standard, but if you are going to stay at the Quality Hotel, be warned - you need to budget extra for car parking.
The hotel itself is very modern and well kept, the staff are friendly and seem to know what they are doing, the rooms are small but clean and tidy, the breakfast is good with a wide choice.

I find this hotel clean, modern, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel room even has free internet access (wireless).
