Not close to activities but in a quiet location with occasional noise from the nearby Naval Air Station.

The hotel was easy to find when travelling from the SAN airport.

Since San Diego is so large, with attractions all over the place, this property works well if you want to take advantage of stuff all over the metro area - just note that it's not very close to downtown.

We had a one-bedroom suite with a very comfortable king bed, a living room with kitchen, and a large bath.

Our suite had 2 large bedrooms, each with a king size bed, private bathroom and TV.

There was a pull out couch/bed in the front room and a huge bedroom with either 1 king or 2 queen beds.

Our group of 6, including 2 small children, stayed here in two suites (each was a one bedroom/living room/full kitchen/one bathroom suite) June 23-27.

There was plenty of space in the king size bed room for a playpen and it was great to be able to close the bedroom door (like at home) to give me and the hubby some alone time in the living room to watch movies or TV.

The food area was well kept up by the staff, the breakfasts were quite good for a hotel breakfast and the front desk agent was so genuinly nice and helpful.

As for the local restaurants, we tried the Italian restaurant next to the nearby Von's (skip it--overpriced, mediocre food).

The breakfast was better than most free breakfasts at other hotels.

The breakfasts were quite good for a hotel breakfast and the free dinner during the weeknights was so helpful with the kids in tow.

The breakfast while not quite up to par with Embassy Suites (no made to order omelet bar) was nearly as good, several hot items although in my opinion they need a better hot tea bag selection for us who like tea.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, manager’s afternoon reception were awesome, the rooms were very beautiful and large.

In all , a nice clean hotel with a pool and plenty of free parking.

The pool area was small but nice and clean as well.

Dinner were delicious and the pool was fine.

OH, and the internet was DSL, not wireless, which was a bit of a pain.
