Good location, close proximity to restaurants and grocery shopping.
This hotel is pretty new and is in a great location - right across from The Marketplace with lots of stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and grocery stores within walking distance.
Good location and as overlooks the historic district in town.
This location left me satisfied like the others, the hotel offered a continental breakfast and the staff was courteous and helpfull.
I have stayed at other Homewood Suites properties and this location left me satisfied like the others.
00 weekend rate, you get an immaculate king bed one bedroom suite, wonderful breakfast, and smiling and courteous employees from the front desk to the housekeepers, and especially the breakfast service attendants.
There was a small living room and a separate bedroom with 2 queen size beds and a bathroom.
The room was very clean, bed comfortable, and several cable TV station with lots of childrens programing.
This layout worked wonderfully for us as we were able to put the kids to bed, then move out into the living room where we could talk and watch TV without waking the kids.
We paid $135/night and given that most of the non-suite rooms at competing hotels were going for $99/night, we felt the extra money was well worth the extra room and convenience that we received.
The free breakfast is OK - I would probably put it below average in terms of choice from other free breakfasts I've had, but that's only based on the cold food (cereal, bread, yoghurt, fruit).
There are many chain restaurants around, we went to the Elephant Bar for drinks which hosts a college-age crowd after 10pm.
My partner reports that the complimentary breakfast was better than average for hotel breakfasts.
There is a new shopping center nearby (about a block away) with lots of restaurant choices and a grocery store if you prefer to eat in your room.
Friendly staff and close to Von's supermarket/restaurants.
Pool area is very nice, the hotel is truly excellent as was the service and the staff is friendly.
All the place is not bad, courteous employees from the front desk to the housekeepers and the rooms are huge.
We had all the amenities we needed, pool, gym, business center, free internet in the room, kitchen.
Although we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool, we noted the barbecues by the poolside and made a mental note to use them the next time we stay there.
Also housekeeping, there is just so much to say.
High speed internet access is good but bring a Cat 5 cable as it is not wireless and they charge you $10 for a cable.
There is free internet in the rooms via a wired connection, and free wireless in the lobby area.
The room was clean and the breakfast was continental.
This hotel offers some great perks, helpful staff and the rooms were clean.
