I was staying with a friend, and the hotel put us in a room with 1 full size bed, when we had requested double beds.

My boys (age 14 & 7) and I made reservations to stay here 3 months in advance for a room with a king bed.

And after walking barefoot on the carpet from the bathroom to the bed, the bottom of my feet were black from the carpet being so dirty.

They offered us 2 rooms with queen beds for the price of what we reserved about 4 rooms apart.

The third room was filthy and the bathroom floor and counter were covered with hair from the previous occupant!

The area is in a safe part of town with lots of nearby restaurants and quick access to highways.

It certainly isn't fancy but it was reasonably clean and the staff was friendly.

I telephoned the front desk and was told they would investigate the problem.

However, at this point, I was exhausted and did not want to go through another episode with the hotel staff.

I was also told that since I made the reservation through an internet site, the hotel was not able to offer any discounts or reimbursements.

The bathroom was not clean and rust around the shower head.
