The best feature is the great location close to the downtown area.
A great location for exploring downtown Austin.
We chose this hotel for its location across the street from the Palmer Events Center, where we were attending a trade show; and for its low rate of $90 a night.
However, due to its central location (restaurants abound in the area!
Not far from the airport either(15-20 minutes).
Was booked in a double bed and was able to chance to two double beds, no problem.
The room was clean and cold (a plus in Texas) with my only complaint being about the pillows for the bed.
There was only a quarter roll of toilet paper int he bathroom and the towels were dingy.
Stayed at Homestead Studio Suites - Downtown.
The bed was clean though, and comfortable.
It is a nice restaurant even for ladies who lunch, or Hooter's for BB time.
Congress shops and restaurants, Barton Springs, downtown) and the friendly staff.
You can walk to restaurants or cook/reheat from Whole Foods which is about 1 mile away.
I stayed at this hotel because I was taking the bar exam at the Palmer Event Center across the street, thinking that having a hotel within quick walking distance would be advantageous for me!
My friends and I had to walk across the street with our laptops to upload our exams in a restaurant.
Excellent custumer service, the front desk girls were very nice.
THe shuttle driver from the airport was friendly too (Super Shuttle), and the staff at the hotel told me about the shuttle service before I arrived.
The minute I walked into the lobby I encountered a foul smell.
The lobby does smell but I don't really spend time hanging out in the lobby so.
The smell in the lobby and hallways was intolerable.
I've had dial-up connections that were faster than their high-speed wirelss.
The wireless internet was INCREDIBLY slow on the one day (out of three total) that I was able to get a connection.
Clean and the staff friendly, cleaned - definitely not the cleanest room.
The kitchenette clean and so the rooms are only cleaned twice.
The hallways in the hotel were warm and the rooms were clean.
At first glance, the room looked fine, but on closer inspection it was clear that the housekeeping staff is out to lunch.
The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable.
