Fantastic view of Oslo and excellent hotel.
Superb location and beautiful historical hotel.
Wonderful location of the hotel, free internet and excellent breakfast.
Excellent location and i've stayed in many hotels in 14 countries across the world.
The subway takes about 25 minutes to get into town which is no real hardship although the walk from the station to the hotel is quite demanding.
First you'd have to walk about 20 minutes from the hotel to the station (which is very poorly indicated--- just look for the railroad tracks, it's an "above ground" metro).
The rooms were nice, but one weird thing was the door to the bathroom.
The bathroom was excellent with a huge bath.
The bed was quite hard, with one thin mattress and the pillows were small and not fluffy at all.
The rooms were spacious, excellently furnished with traditional furniture, with all the convenience a business traveler needs.
The rooms are generally a little "tired" and seem to have been virtually untouched for the past 15 years, with the exception of an upgraded flat-screen TV.
The breakfast restaurant was nice and cozy like everything in the hotel.
I also liked the comfort of the room, loved our drinks by the fire in the bar and breakfast is excellent.
The restaurant was very good and affordable and the breakfast buffet was superb.
Hotel is nice, breakfast is amazing and milk products an warm dishes.
Nice view over the city, the hotel was beautiful and we had a romantic meal in the restaurant.
Despite having arranged an earlier check in the reception staff made absolutely no effort to assist and advised the room was still being cleaned.
Overall our group highly reccomends this hotel, but hope they hire a more service oriented staff!
And the service was GREAT :) And the hotel was very cheap compared to the hotels in the city centre in Oslo.
Not to mention we didn't even get maid service that day, just some towell outside the door.
I didn't have time to use the gym or pool but I had a peek and the pool was tiny.
We loved that our spacious room, the view, the decor, the sunken bathub, the pool, sauna.
The beautiful building and they didn't charge the parking fee for my motorcicle.
