Holiday Inn Tampere

Rooms were spotless, food was great, service top notch and as for location, it's literally 5 minutes walk from the main shoping district in Tampere.

The location is awesome and an excellent price in a country that we envisaged would be expensive.

Its central location are ideal for trips to Tampere and the hotel is quite large.

We took a Ryanair bus from the airport to the City Centre and were dropped outside the central rail station.

It is about a 10 minute walk to the river and the main shopping areas, but is close to the railway station, which is also the terminal for the airport buses.

A quiet hotel, friendly reception and room was BIG huge bed.

As we travelled as 3 persons, sleeping in the same room, I expected an extra bed, but I was wrong.

The hotel had a hot tub, the reception staff were pleasant and definitely one of the best rooms I've had in Finland.

The room and en-suite were clean with all the usual extras expected in a Holiday Inn.

The food at the dinner restaurant was good as well as the breakfast.

The hotel had a hot tub and sauna on the top floor and had a bar and restaurant.

Havana bar just over the bridge and down a few steps is a great bar and restaurant and has a very well heated smoking room also try the pizza place before you cross the bridge on the main street overlooking the river.

A great salad bar and a great selection of pizzas, hot meat dishes and as much ice cream you could eat to finish, including soft drinks and coffee.

On Sunday we ate lunch at a Viking Restaurant called “Harald”.

Friendly and service oriented staff in reception, great bathroom, good food.

Service from check-in to check-out was flawless during my stay and resturant staff were very helpful.

The reception staff were pleasant, en-suite were clean.

Sauna facilities are great but the small pool is only good for 3-4 ppl at a time.

The breakfast is not great but okay, and the spa area, which overlooks the city, has too cold saunas but a very nice whirlpool / jacuzzi.

Only gripe we had was that when we wanted to use the hotels rooftop sauna, we were advised we could'nt as it had been booked for a private party, despite us being advised on check in that the sauna was open all weekend.

The only downside I had at the Holiday Inn was the expense for wifi broadband, but it did work better than the wired broadband.

Good clean hotel, friendly staff and fresh feeling to the room.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean.

Rooms and public areas were spotlessly clean.
