Holiday Inn Saint Petersburg-Heritage

Our displeasure with the room would be with the smallish bathroom, lack of rack(s) to place your luggage on to work out of, a bed with an uncomfortable mattress and "fitted sheets" which refused to stay on the bed.

I had a king bed room -- the room was sparse, paint chipping off the old woodwork, uncomfortable furniture, and a bed that was almost hard as a rock and flat pillows.

I accepted and I was given a room with a very comfortable king-size bed.

We asked for another room and it took forever because she did not know which rooms had double beds and which had king-size beds.

We were well greeted on arrival and the room was ok but the beds are very soft and the toilet had an overflow during our stay which was not very pleasant.

For breakfast, the restaurant sends over trays of food to the hotel lobby where it's set up on the inoperable bar as a small buffett--just your basic hard scambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

The restaurant is being remodeled, and the person who runs the restaurant also runs the bar - so that's why it was closed.

The web site said there was a restaurant and lobby bar on site.

There is no fitness center and the bar and restaurant were closed during our entire stay--something of which they failed to notify us beforehand.

The entry portico to the hotel is nice and the lobby is interesting with natural wood floors, a skylight, and a wood bar to the left of the room that serves as a serving area for the buffet breakfast served mornings.

All of the front desk staff kept saying the repairs would be made at any minute.

When we phoned for it to be brought to the room the staff member on the front desk said 'absolutely not' and refused to bring it without seeing my credit card.

The staff was great and lots of large dark furniture that was overbearing.

I would like to take a moment and let the Heritage Inn and there staff know what a wonderful time my family and I had at your establishment.

Pool is to the side of the hotel so you have to walk out the lobby to the main road and go to the side.

If you want to use the pool, you have to walk through the lobby, out the hotel to the street, and then around the side.

You must walk down the main street to get to pool in your suit, and then again throught the main lobby!

The staff was great, the room was nice and clean.

Your hotel was very nice, front desk was very accommodating I checked in and the rooms were very clean.

The bathroom was clean but small and was in need of a bit of a refurb.

The rooms could do with a little TLC but they are clean and comfortable.

Also if you like a clean room bring your own vacuum cleaner.
