Holiday Inn Paris-Versailles-Bougival

Great location for business nearby and station staff are incredibly helpful.

I was a little worried that the hotel was outside the main Paris sights but in fact I was very pleased with the location.

Guests were mainly business people - which came as a strange as the area is a pleasant residential outer suburb of Paris rather than a real business location.

Also, there was a glitch in getting a taxi to the airport for our Saturday departure.

Taxis are however tres expensive - 11 E from Station to Hotel, so try to take the bus.

The room was spotless, comfortable bed (two single beds pushed together) plenty of towels with basic complementary toiletries.

The room was nice and clean, with a small but good quality bathroom suite (including bath, shower, sink & WC).

The beds were comfortable, although the bedding was blankets instead of quilts and the beds were made so tight I literally had to strip the bed and remake it to even get into it!

Bed in the room was incredibly low, but turned out to be comfortable.

The restaurant area was nice and the buffet breakfast was excellent!

10 minutes walk (left outside Hotel) takes you to 3 lovely restaurants and a small local bar.

We did not eat there as the menu did not have a vegetarian option, but we did have a very nice meal in an Indian restaurant which was really cheap as we all ordered the set menu (they had a meat or vegetarian option luckily!

Quiet rooms and a wide selection of food at breakfast including cereals.

Food in restaurant OK but expensive for fairly average fayre.

Service from the front desk was adequate, but there is no concierge so don't expect much help.

Net was a very good value for money, the reception staff were polite and the room was nice and clean.

We sat chatting to them in the hotel lobby for about an hour and it looked as though the recption hadn't even started!

The parking as via a rather bizarre spiral ramp that is single width but two way - dread the day I meet a car coming in the opposite direction.
