Holiday Inn Oxford - 牛津

The hotel is a pleasant, purpose-built Holiday Inn, just next to the A34 and the Peartree Park and Ride, making it a convenient location for the motorist visiting Oxford and surrounding area.

Note however that the hotel is outside the city, in a practical but unappealing location next to a parking lot.

The hotel's location next to the Oxford park & Ride is useful, the rooms are nice enough and the morning continental breakfast consisted of a selection of bulk cereals.

The bus stop for this is a 3 min walk from the hotel & runs about every 15 mins.

The park and ride system is excellent - there was always a bus waiting at the terminal (5 minutes walk from the hotel) and they came back from the city when they were timetabled to do so.

A spacious tastefully decorated room with a comfortable bed and all of the usual features.

Friendly food in the bar area was excellent quality, staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, the hide-a-bed in the room worked well for us.

It had been a lovely summer's day and our room was a bit warm, but otherwise comfortable, especially the bed.

I was in an executive room and the room around the bed was at least 10 foot with an added seating area with an armchair and sofa.

We were a bit a short of seating because our sofa had become our son's bed but we spent very little time in the room so it didn't matter.

The food remains excellent, whether in the restaurant or room service, the breakfasts have a decent buffet and the swimming pool and gym are of a good size and again, very clean.

We ate in the restaurant one evening and although the food was nice it was very expensive for what it was and i did not consider it good value.

Saturday evening only to be told it was cavery only when we booked in, it wasn`t anything special and I would prefered to have a bar meal which had a better menu.

Had some bar food and a drink which was fine.

The restaurant was good, the choice and quality of the food was excellent, particularly the specials.

The hotel was very clean and the reception staff very accomodating, especially the duty manager.

Also functional accomodation for a good price, friendly reception staff and the room was spotless and comfy.

Friendly reception staff, clean spacious rooms and the only drawback was the price of the drinks in the bar really.

Reception staff very helpful and modern bathroom.

The gym facilities are better than many proper gyms, and there's also a large pool, with jacuzzi, steam room & sauna.

Lovely clean pool and Jacuzzi and towels, worth a go.

They even have a free fitness room and, if I remember well, a small swimming pool, which is unusual for this kind of hotel (I haven't seen these facilities myself though).

Hotel was simple, all staff were very pleasant and helpful, our room was very clean and comfortable.
