Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental - 里斯本

Good location close to a metro station and only 15 minutes from the historical centre.

Good location and we appreciated the fact that we were picked up at the hotel to go on a bus tour to Fatima.

The location indicated at map and the somewhat shortened address given was misleading and confusing.

On the Avenida da Republica (which is a 3 minute walk away) there is metro (subway) station called Campo Pequeno on the yellow (Amarela) line which is quick way of getting to the centre and around town.

It's a five minute easy walk to Campo Pequeno, a shopping center with a metro stop and several buses, including the airport shuttle.

The suite featured a living room/dining area as well as a large bedroom with a king bed.

My room was lovely, with a very comfortable king-size bed and a spacious, clean bathroom.

However, I was thrilled to arrive to a very spacious room with a king sized bed (in Europe!

Only hotel we stayed in in Spain and Portugal with a king sized bed instead of two twin beds pushed together.

We were given a great room on the 10th floor with a superking bed which was very well appointed & had great a/c - it was unseasonably warm when we were there, so this was a godsend.

For those in hurry or only wanting a coffee or a light bite, there is a coffee bar just outside the restaurant with some tables and chairs and for take out.

Breakfast and lunch, in a basement room, I found sub-standard; canned products and small selection, but okay pastries and rolls (as usual in Lisbon).

Great confort of rooms, the restaurant presents a very good choice of dishes.

All of the breakfast food was fresh and delicious.

We booked 3 nights in the HI Continental using a Priority Club offer for room only (we rarely eat breakfast in the hotel unless it's free!

The staff were partially nice, but some reception clerks were sultry and quite bothered by the guests.

Some of the staff was very friendly and glad to help, but others truely had no business working in the customer service industry.

What sets this Holiday Inn apart from any other we have stayed at was the staff of the front desk.

Location was great - just two blocks from the Metro; the staff was pleasant and helpful with making restaurant reservations.

When I disputed this, saying the item was never there to begin with, he said I would need to speak to the front desk manager who was only back tomorrow.

It seems a either a previous guest had taken the item or their housekeeping had mixed their stocktaking up.

There are two okay-priced internet terminals in the lobby, which is nice if one doesn't travel with one's notebook.

The room was tidy, clean, modern and spacious.

In walking distance to the historic centers, hotel staff were very helpful and room was very clean.

The room was pleasant (modern and clean).

I really appreciated having such a nice, clean, spacious, and stylish room to come back to after long days exploring the hills of Lisbon!
