Holiday Inn Express Houston-Hobby Airport - 休斯敦

Best thing is location to airport if you are flying out.

The location is fairly convenient to the airport, easy to get on the Gulf Freeway, but I wouldn’t expect too much more.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel before a flight out of Houston Hobby airport.

It was easy to return the rental car and get to the airport.

Due to the room layout and location of the window air conditioner, your bed area may be 75 degrees but the bathroom on the other side of the room may be 62.

The room looked like it had been recently renovated as everything was in perfect condition, including the bathroom.

3rd floor, on the way up the elevator stoped between the floors when we arrived on the third floor the A/C was leaking so the floor was wet (soaked) the bed was dirty hard as a rock.

There is a digital thermostat to control heating/cooling, and the constant low fan kept the room perfectly comfortable, as well as providing nice "white noise" to mask the traffic sounds from the highway.

But the rooms were very noisy (even with ear plugs and the fan turned on) due to the 12 lanes of traffic right outside the window – the noise doesn’t let up all night.

Clean Hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fine.

The hot wings at the hotel restaurant were off the the hook!

They offer complimentary warm wine (you can add ice cubes), beer, 2 boxes of local cheese or 1 topping left over pizza and snacks in the breakfast area after work (~4:30pm - get there early if you want a slice ).

The breakfast was fine (except only powdered creamer for the coffee) and the shuttle was prompt.

The staff was nice and tried to accomodate us, but the bottom line is that this place is a dump.

Staff also showed me to the business center where I could check my e-mail at 12:30 AM.

The staff is doing all they can to support the guests.
