A clean, affordable, value for money hotel.
We picked the hotel for price and rating.
It turned out to be a great location - off the beaten path, but very close to the bus system that appears to run around the clock.
The location is great and taxi is quick and reasonable.
We took the bus to the train station (to go to the airport) at 4:30 AM and it was easy and cheap.
15-20mins on foot to the Neustadt Train station.
Analog phone lines are available in the room.
Well equipped bathroom, great breakfast and check-in staff were fine.
Room was spacious and the restaurant was excellent.
The hotel has a wonderful indoor swimming pool and comfortable rooms.
It turned out to be just a few blocks from the daughter's apartment.
There is a full restaurant and bar in the hotel.
The buffet breakfast was a bit pricey, but the food selection and quality was great, so good for an occasional splurge, especially since we often do not stop touring to have lunch.
On Sundays breakfast is extended 15:00 :) The spa area, rooms are large and the food is delicious and fresh.
Skipped breakfast which seemed a bit pricey.
There are no restaurants or bars nearby so the hotel does feel a bit isolated.
The staff is generally helpful, free coffee/ hot chocolate provide at reception and swimming pool is nice.
The service, however, was dreadful - slow, robot-like (not in efficiency, mind you) and when you needed a member of wait staff, they were never anywhere to be seen.
Good place and the staff was very helpful.
The outstanding feature for me was the spa (with indoor pool and sauna), which is open late and very relaxing after a long day of walking, sightseeing, and attending concerts.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, spa/exercise/pool in basement were great.
Returning to the hotel after treking around in the cold, it was nice to warm up in the sauna and swim while watching the snow fall on the glass roof over the pool.
On the plus side, there was free, fast wireless internet throughout the hotel, and they were happy to watch my bags for me for the whole day after check-out as I was getting an overnight train.
Reasonably priced hotel in Dresden Neustadt - the historic new town, clean room and fresh coffee at the reception.
