Holiday Inn Colombo - 可倫坡

This hotel has a great location, right next to The Galle Face Hotel and Galle Face Green, minutes from Slave Island and Pettah District.

While the location was ideal as it was close to some of the more happening places in Colombo.

Its also in a good location, 5 mins walk to a station, some bars nearby, the seafront is 2 mins away, easy to get taxis & tuk tuks from outside the hotel.

Location was good , within walking distance of nicer hotels (for snacks) and small shopping center (for internet access and foot massage).

Our bus wasn't allowed through and eventually we were allowed to walk up to our hotel with our bags under armed guard.

I quite liked the Holiday Inn: reasonable location, pleasant enough rooms, decent bathroom and facilities.

Holiday Inn rooms were ok, a little worse for wear but bathrooms fine and clean.

The breakfast buffet we found to be good quality, the staff was very polite and rooms were spacious.

Overall service was very good and rooms were spacious.

I was upgraded to executive room but it was smelly, the locker/safe was not working properly.

The Tempt Inn Pastry Shop has excellent foods which can be eaten for breakfast, taken with you on trips and be eaten around the pool!

The food in the restaurant, was excellent - one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka.

Hotel fecilities are good, service staff are friendly and helpfull, more over the mineral water bottle is free / complimentry.

The public areas - pool, lobby etc - are also attractive enough, and the staff pretty helpful.

Swimming pool area's Ok - not great but acceptable - large trees but not enough attractive ground level greenery.

I have just returned from an excellent holiday in Sri Lanka during which I spent some days at the Holiday Inn in Colombo and do not understand the comment about having to pay to use a safe in the lobby.

The hotel rooms were clean, overall service was very good and the food was excellent - really tasty.

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable - slightly more shabby than Holiday Inn's in the UK but still comfortable.

We found this hotel to be clean, with spacious rooms and were greeted as honeymooners with a fruit basket.
