Our only gripes were that there was no complimentary tea in our hotel room and the prices of the room service menu and the spa were not inexpensive.
The location of the hotel is rather poor with almost nothing nearby though it provides complimentary shttle to the pier and one does not really have to leave the resort given the facilities and the very good spa (not inexpensive though) there.
The hotel can get a taxi for S$2 one way.
Firstly, my friends and I were impressed when they first came down to the airport, carrying a sign 'Holiday Inn Resorts' to take you to the hotel via their complimentary shuttle van.
It was a great break, very relaxing, excellent rooms, very spacious and we were upgraded to a 2 bed room suite with a sea view and my parents had a 1 bed room suite with a pool view.
Nice pool, nice gym, rooms are spacious to European eyes, some are 2 bed suites.
The rooms here are suites, complete with a small living room and dining area, together with a balcony and deck chairs.
The bathrooms are befitting of a 4 star setup with a nice bath tub and the Holiday Inn promise of toiletries, if you didn't bring yours.
The staff are friendly and because of the 2 bedroom suite accommodation as well as Spa & Massage.
We ate at the Tepanyaki restaurant on the first night - the food was fine and the fruit drinks were excellent, I had the best smoothie I had ever tasted.
A big dining room and has friendly helpful staffs delicious Buffet Breakfast etc etc.
Food-wise, the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant was surprisingly good.
The breakfast also was good and got a selection of food to choose from.
Main restuarant OK fr breakfast but weak for main meals.
The Holiday Inn Batam is a nice family friendly hotel which is so close to Singapore, the service staff are polite, the drink and meal prices are very good, all round this is a great weekend or weekdat escape.
The hotel is large and the service staff are polite.
The hotel staff were always helpful, the service was great and i lived in the big room was meant for four occupants.
The service was great, staff were really friendly and made sure we were comfortable.
The couch was wet & when we lift up the seat, we were horrified to see a big pool of urine by the previous guests.
Not only can you enjoy the spa but they also have a private jacuzzi for spa patrons only.
What I liked most was the Tea tree spa with the heated outdoor jacuzzi!
The staff are alway friendly, the room is clean and big, pools are huge nice.
Its rooms are clean, the Chinese restaurant is excellent and the seafood is good.
Staff: Friendly and helpful, bathroom spotless, chinese restaurant was good.
Room was clean and the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant was surprisingly good.
We found the rooms and resort very clean throughout and no insects in sight at all.
