Its a short cab ride from the Macau boarder and also close to the sea and main shopping district.
I stayed in a little villa room (two single beds in one room), price RMB 260, which included free internet connection.
The room thermostat can not be adjusted because the heating is controlled by the hotel perhaps to save the electricity.
The hotel has a lobby which may be equivalent to a 3-4 stars hotel but the room is like a 2 star hotel.
The villa is quite a distance form the main building and you need to take a van ride from the main building to the villa room.
The hotel is dishonest in charging the room rate.
The restaurant is very good (for a chinese hotel restaurant) and offers good quality Italian, French and Chinese dishes for a decent price (20-60RMB), and also a some French white and red wines (just DONT order the pizza, which is wierd!
Good bread, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, chinese cuisine and good coffee.
It also has some of the most well trained and attentive staff I have encountered, In the summer it attracts many students from the local hotel-management schools, and they are eager to please and try out their english!
A little Cantoneese or Manderin will always help, but here the staff are patient and hard working, and you will always get what you want eventually.
I made my reservation in RMB and charge it to my credit card.
When you pay with your credit card, they will show the charge in RMB as in the confirm reservation but with the small tiny print at the end of the charge slip indicate they will convert the RMB to US$ with their own exchange rate.
The manager promised looking into this and call me back.
It sports a huge swimming pool (which unfortunately is maintained at 30 degrees celcius, even in summer!
Rooms were acceptable, fairly clean, and good size.
