Well situated next to the river and great location.
The location is ideal, the hotel is located in the historic district and tHE STAFF HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY NICE and PROFESSIONAL.
This hotel is located in a perfect location to walk around downtown Wilmington.
The location was great, the hotel was nice about and the staff was accomodating.
Everything was just wonderful, the hotel sent a car to pick us up at the airport.
The rooms boast spacious living areas, tHIS HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and the bed is comfortable.
First, the bedroom was furnished with a queen size bed, featuring a foam mattress instead of a real mattress.
Best part about the room was the Tempurpedic bed--very comfortable.
We arrived without a booking and paid $169 for a king bed room overlooking the river and the USS Carolina although there was a parking fee on top.
ANTS--in the bed, on all the tables, on the shower cutain and all over the bathroom.
Convenient location--walking distance to different restaurants via the riverwalk, a very nice hotel bar and good service.
We didn’t eat here nor visit the bar, although it looked OK.
The food at the bar was pretty good (for bar food).
The hotel is across the street from a small mall with restaurants and shops, and it's probably about five blocks away from a main street, filled with cute botiques.
My advice - go during the week when the kids don't come, don't eat in the restaurant and check your bill very carefully!
Front desk staff was polite, the room service salad was quick and delicious, the food at the bar was pretty good.

The areas the public sees look nice and my main recollection of this place will be the pool – large.

The only thing that was really off was the elevator.
Contrary to other opinions here, I found everything in the room to be clean and fresh, if unmemorable – probably best to get a non-smoking room.
The room itself was lovely--fresh, clean and no musty smell anywhere.
From the airport was prompt, the staff was exceptional and the room was clean.
Furthermore the room was clean and the buffet breakfast was quite good.
The room was pretty standard but clean and seemed fairly up to date.
